Summer’s Unawareness of Phyllis’s Experience

Summer Newman somehow has no idea that it’s not her mother Phyllis Summer’s first day dealing with her grandfather Victor Newman. Once Phyllis learns why Victor has power over Summer’s ex-husband Kyle it’s anyone’s guess how long she will take to bring her daughter Summer into the loop. Will Phyllis clue in Summer ASAP? Or, will Phyllis use this information to finally get back to work in Genoa City on Young & the Restless?

Phyllis Observes Victor’s Moves

Genoa City’s best-dressed unemployed woman on Y&R just waited for one fashion change after learning her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) asked her grandfather Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for a favor to question his intentions. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has picked up on how soon Summer’s ex-husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was bumped up on The Almighty Victor Newman’s priority list & she has questions. Like Young & the Fans, Phyllis knows that Victor Newman’s only motivation to do anything is selfish. So, tic-toc, it won’t be long before Miss Best-Dressed unemployed Phyllis Summers unravels Victor’s motivation to influence Kyle Abbott.

Phyllis’s Job Prospects

At this point, if Phyllis Summers wants a job the only person who she has a chance of working for is Victor Newman. Victor Newman almost always has dirty deeds to outsource & Phyllis Summers doesn’t mind hanging out in the deep & dark gray area.

Will Victor Newman hire Phyllis to passive-aggressively drive Summer’s ex-husband Kyle Abbott nuts at Glissade as a favor to his granddaughter? Or, will Victor hire Phyllis to support Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) dirty deeds at Newman Media?

Regardless, Summer will eventually find out & like Victor Newman, Phyllis Summers will claim her motivation to keep quiet was in the name of business.

Kyle and Audra Situation

While it would be far more exciting for Young & the Restless fans for Phyllis to be hired at Newman Media as Adam Newman’s COO, it’s not likely. Phyllis knows that her daughter Summer’s request to Kyle to completely cut off Audra Charles as his business partner & in & out of bed is over the top but she still wants to support her daughter.

Phyllis knows that Victor has something up his sleeve & it won’t be long until she finds out it’s Glissade. Phyllis will manipulate her findings along with Victor & Kyle to be hired at Glissade with her motivation to keep tabs on Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

Potential Consequences

Once this all plays out & Phyllis loses yet another job, Summer will be livid with her mother. It won’t matter, however, as Summer has already gotten over Phyllis Summers faking her death on Young & the Restless.
