SUMMER NEWMAN SNUBBED! Victor’s Gift To Nikki Excludes His Granddaughter In SHOCKING Family Slight

Oh. My. Goodness. Y’all, I’m still picking my jaw up off the floor after watching Wednesday’s episode! Just when I thought the Newman family drama couldn’t possibly get any juicier, Victor Newman dropped a bombshell that’s guaranteed to explode in his face when Summer Newman catches wind of it.

Here’s the tea: Victor surprised Nikki Newman with an early birthday celebration at the ranch this week (cue the romantic music and charcuterie board—classic Victor). The whole scene was actually pretty sweet… until he presented her with a locket that has set the stage for what might be the Newman family feud of the CENTURY.

The locket—engraved with “Strength, Courage, Beauty”—contains photos of Nikki, Victoria Newman, and newcomer Claire Newman. Notice anyone MISSING from this family portrait? Yeah, Summer is NOWHERE to be found!

THE DELIBERATE EXCLUSION THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

Let’s be real for a second. This wasn’t some innocent oversight. Victor Newman doesn’t DO innocent oversights. The man calculates his breakfast cereal choices with the precision of a chess grandmaster!

By including Claire—the granddaughter who literally just joined the family five minutes ago—while excluding Summer, Victor is sending a message loud and clear. But what exactly IS that message? Is he punishing Summer for moving to Milan? Is he trying to elevate Claire’s position in the family hierarchy? Or is this some kind of twisted test?

One thing’s for absolute certain—when Summer finds out (and trust me, she WILL find out), there’s going to be fallout of NUCLEAR proportions. The spoilers explicitly state that “Summer would never tolerate being snubbed like that!” And honestly? I don’t blame her one bit!

THE NEWMAN PRINCESS VS. THE NEWMAN NEWCOMER

This locket drama is poised to ignite a full-blown rivalry between Summer and Claire that could tear the Newman family apart at the seams.

Summer has fought tooth and nail for her place in the Newman dynasty for YEARS. Remember when she battled with her own mother over the same man? When she went to war with Phyllis over Billy? The girl doesn’t back down—EVER. And she certainly won’t take kindly to being replaced by Claire in her grandmother’s keepsake.

Meanwhile, poor Claire is just trying to find her footing in this crazy family she’s been thrust into. She didn’t ask to be included in the locket (at least, as far as we know…), but she’ll definitely feel Summer’s wrath when Hurricane Summer blows back into town from Milan.

A CALCULATED MOVE BY THE MUSTACHE?

I’ve been watching Victor Newman play his manipulative games for decades, and this has all the hallmarks of a classic Victor power move. Remember back in 2013 when he pitted Nick and Adam against each other by dangling Newman Enterprises between them? Or how about when he tested Victoria’s loyalty by pretending to favor Abby?

The man LIVES for this kind of drama.

My theory? Victor is deliberately creating chaos to see who aligns where when the inevitable explosion happens. He’s testing Summer’s loyalty to the family by seeing if she’ll come running back from Milan to defend her position. He’s testing Claire’s resolve to see if she can handle the Newman family pressure cooker. And he’s testing Nikki’s priorities by seeing if she’ll defend his decision or side with Summer.

It’s a three-dimensional chess move that only Victor could pull off.

NIKKI’S REACTION SPEAKS VOLUMES

Did anyone else notice that Nikki didn’t say a WORD about Summer’s exclusion from the locket? Not one single mention of “Oh, but what about Summer?” or “We should have included Summer too.”

This tells me one of two things: either Nikki is so caught up in the moment that she didn’t even notice her granddaughter’s absence (unlikely), OR she’s fully complicit in Victor’s manipulation. My money’s on the latter. After decades of marriage to the man, Nikki knows exactly how Victor operates, and she plays along more often than not.

But when Summer confronts her (and again, she WILL), will Nikki stand by Victor’s decision or throw him under the bus to save her relationship with her granddaughter? That’s the million-dollar question, folks!

WHEN WILL THE BOMB EXPLODE?

Summer may be in Milan right now, focusing on fashion and possibly nursing her wounds over the whole Kyle situation, but news travels FAST in Genoa City.

It’s only a matter of time before someone lets it slip during a video call, or Phyllis catches wind of the slight and immediately calls her daughter to stir the pot. (Can’t you just picture Phyllis absolutely SEETHING over this? Her daughter being disrespected by Victor? Oh, she’ll have a FIELD DAY with this information!)

My prediction? We’ve got about two weeks—three, tops—before Summer either hops on the Newman jet to confront her grandfather in person OR launches into an epic takedown via video call that leaves the entire family shellshocked.

And frankly? I can’t WAIT to see actress Allison Lanier sink her teeth into those scenes. She’s been bringing such fire to Summer since taking over the role, and this storyline is practically BEGGING for a classic Newman confrontation scene.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

This seemingly “simple” birthday gift has the potential to reshape the entire Newman family dynamic for months to come. Will Summer declare all-out war on Claire? Will she cut ties with Victor completely? Could this even be the catalyst that brings her back to Genoa City permanently?

And let’s not forget how this might impact Summer’s relationships with Kyle and Harrison. If she comes storming back to town with a vendetta against the Newmans, she’ll inevitably cross paths with her ex and his son. Could this family drama actually reignite those flames?

The ripple effects of Victor’s locket selection could be felt all the way into summer sweeps, y’all!

WHAT’S NEXT?

One thing’s for absolute certain—the calm, loving family scene we witnessed on Wednesday is nothing but the eye of the hurricane. The REAL storm is coming, and it’s going to be absolutely GLORIOUS to watch unfold.

Will Summer retaliate by striking at Claire directly? Will she target Victor’s business interests from Milan? Or will she simply ice out her grandparents completely?

Whatever happens, this Newman family drama is just getting started. And I, for one, will be glued to my screen with a bowl of popcorn, ready to watch the fireworks!

What do YOU think Summer will do when she finds out about this family betrayal? Drop your predictions in the comments—I’m dying to hear your theories!
