Forgotten in France Without Honorable Mentions on Y&R

It goes without saying that Christian Newman has been forgotten in France by his family. He’s been a make-believe afterthought for years, but what about a few of the others on Young & the Restless? Ashley Abbott is not far away in Paris. Johnny & Katie have been left home with their mother & new big sister, who are both now mourning Cole’s death, & no one in France has any idea. Then there’s the kid with three parents, yet all of them are stranded across the pond.

Billy Abbott Matters to Billy Abbott, & That’s Almost It

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has barely been paying attention to his girlfriend/business partner, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), & she’s on the same trip as him! Why would Billy Boy bother being concerned with his sister Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), who is back in inpatient care in Paris? What about Billy Boy’s kids, Johnny & Katie Abbott? Yes, they are older & should be fine, but their mother, as far as Billy knows, is preoccupied with their new older sister, Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) father’s illness. Billy has no idea that Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) has passed away. Grandparents Victor & Nikki Newman (Eric Braeden & Melody Thomas Scott) aren’t even around for support as they are stranded in France on the same damn trip!

Victor Newman Knows What He Did & Victoria’s Tough

As far as Victor Newman knows, Cole Howard is either close to dead or is dead, & he’s keeping his mouth shut. The only parent of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) who has wondered about her rebooted lover & co-parent, Cole Howard, is Nikki Newman. At least she’s caring enough for her & Victor, but still… But still Victor knows exactly what he did when he offered Victoria’s latest love interest at Newman Enterprises & promptly sent him on an overseas business trip. It’s not a coincidence that Cole ended up sick, it’s not a coincidence he couldn’t be cured, & it’s certainly not a coincidence that Cole is now dead.

Doesn’t Victor Newman do everything in his power to protect his family? Nope!… That’s just what he says. He’s hurt his family over, & over again. Now his newest & beloved granddaughter Claire is about to get hurt yet again after she learns where her boyfriend’s mouth has been in France when everyone on the Dumas reveal trip returns to Genoa City.

The Kid with Three Parents Has None in Genoa City

All three of Dominic Abbott-Newman-Chancellor-Winters’ parents were invited to the Dumas trip in the South of France, & even though little Dominic was sick, they all went. Yes, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) stayed back in Genoa City for a hot minute to make sure Dom was okay, but she did end up in France with her husband/sperm donor, Devon Winters (Bryton James), & her ex-husband/legal-baby-daddy, Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd).

Dominic was still a little sick when Abby left him. Now all three of Dom’s parents are stuck in the South of France. Dom’s grandparent’s Victor Newman & Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), are both in France, but in different locations. Is Dom’s nanny taking care of him indefinitely? Do Dominic & Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) invisible son have the same nanny?
