STEPHANIE JOHNSON’S WORST NIGHTMARE COMES TRUE AS SALEM’S STALKER PLOT SPIRALS OUT OF CONTROL

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers for January 19-23 reveal Stephanie Johnson’s plan to catch her stalker backfires spectacularly. Meanwhile, Leo begs Javi not to leave town, Chad faces custody mediation, and the trap Steve and Alex set is about to go horribly wrong.

Monday, January 19

Monday’s Days of Our Lives starts with Chanel and Johnny preparing for an important milestone in little Trey’s life. But knowing Salem, nothing goes smoothly when the DiMeras are involved. Here’s hoping Sophia Choi doesn’t crash this family moment the way she’s been crashing everything else lately.

Speaking of Sophia, Ari finds herself in the hot seat when Gabi and Rafe demand answers. Remember when Ari spotted a hooded figure in the town square that looked suspiciously like Bayview’s supposedly catatonic patient? Yeah, that conversation is happening now. The Hernandez siblings want to know exactly what their cousin saw.

The real gut punch comes from Leo and Javi. After weeks of Dimitri causing chaos in their brand-new marriage, these two share what can only be described as a bittersweet moment. Is this really the end for Salem’s most unexpected love story? Javi has been pushed to his breaking point watching Leo struggle with Dimitri’s return, and honestly, who can blame him?

And then there’s Sophia herself, who catches a glimpse of Holly and is downright shocked. Given that Holly has been cozying up to her new sorority crowd and developing quite the attitude, whatever Sophia sees clearly wasn’t what she expected.

Tuesday, January 20

Marlena’s health becomes the topic of conversation when she sits down with Sarah. The details remain unclear, but anytime Salem’s beloved psychiatrist needs a medical consult, fans should pay attention.

Brady and Kristen are butting heads again because apparently they cannot exist in the same zip code without drama. Rachel remains the hot topic between these two, and Kristen continues holding EJ responsible for her daughter’s Bayview situation.

Julie receives some much-needed advice on Days of Our Lives, though whether she actually takes it remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the love triangle from hell continues as Gwen gets into a heated confrontation with Dimitri while Leo is across town practically begging Javi not to leave.

Wednesday, January 21

The moment fans have been waiting for finally arrives. Chad, Jennifer, and Jack come together to hash out custody of Thomas and Charlotte. After everything this family has endured, including Chad’s kidnapping ordeal in the DiMera crypt, both sides have supposedly softened their positions.

But let’s be real. Jennifer started this custody war because Chad hugged Cat Greene. That’s the entire case against him. Now Jennifer has tough questions for Chad that will continue into Friday, so clearly not everyone is ready to play nice.

While the Deveraux-DiMera drama unfolds, Julie hosts her very first book club meeting with Foster, Marlena, and Maggie. Cat also opens up to Felicity about something, probably her failed break-in attempt or her ongoing investigation into EJ’s shady laboratory.

Thursday, January 22

JJ and Theo finally find a way to reconnect, which is long overdue given everything Theo’s been processing about being a DiMera. Philip and Gabi hit the town for a date that’s doomed to explode eventually since Gabi’s role in the Titan-DiMera merger collapse hasn’t been forgotten.

Stephanie Johnson and Jada go wedding dress shopping because Stephanie Johnson is determined to enjoy her engagement despite her stalker situation. However, Steve is keeping a very close eye on Alex for reasons that become terrifyingly clear by Friday.

Jeremy has a heart-to-heart with Julie, who remains firmly in his corner despite everyone else in Salem pointing fingers at him for the stalking.

Friday, January 23

Julie continues defending Jeremy even as the real stalker closes in. Marlena takes Belle into her confidence about something important. Jada updates Steve on developments that cannot be good.

Jennifer confronts Chad with more tough questions about the custody arrangement, because apparently one interrogation session wasn’t enough.

But the real shocker? Stephanie Johnson and Alex are shaken by a sudden development. Given that the stalker trap has been set and Owen Kent is lurking in Salem wearing the same black hoodie as Jeremy, this “sudden development” is almost certainly the trap going catastrophically wrong.

Sources suggest Stephanie gets kidnapped from University Hospital while working her PR job. Steve grabs a hooded figure in the park expecting Jeremy, only to find Owen instead. And somewhere in all this chaos, someone gets shot.
