MARCO RIOS TOLD CULLUM THEY NEED TO “REMOVE” SONNY BECAUSE BLACKMAIL WON’T BE ENOUGH

TL;DR: Marco Rios went behind Jenz Sidwell’s back on Monday’s General Hospital to meet with WSB Director Cullum about eliminating Sonny Corinthos. He said blackmail won’t cut it โ€” they need to take Sonny out. Marco is going rogue and this is terrifying.

Marco Rios Called a Secret Meeting

Well, well, well. It looks like Marco Rios is tired of playing by anyone’s rules.

On Monday’s General Hospital, Marco called a secret meeting with WSB Director Cullum at Wyndemere โ€” and Jenz Sidwell was nowhere to be found. When Cullum said he only wanted to speak with Sidwell, Marco insisted they needed to discuss something Sidwell “doesn’t have a clear handle on.” That something? Sonny Corinthos.

According to Marco Rios, Sidwell is underestimating the threat Sonny poses. Blackmail won’t be enough to neutralize him. They need to “remove” him entirely.

Let that sink in. Marco Rios is plotting to have Sonny killed. This isn’t Sidwell’s plan โ€” this is Marco going completely rogue.

Sidwell Has No Idea What’s Coming

Here’s what makes this even more dangerous: Jenz Sidwell thinks he has everything under control. He told Ava on the pier that he has “a record of handling Sonny.” He’s confident. He’s measured. He’s playing the long game.

But Marco? Marco is impatient. Marco thinks Sidwell is being too soft. And Marco just went directly to Cullum to arrange a hit on one of Port Charles’s most powerful men without bothering to loop anyone else in.

This is a recipe for disaster. If Sidwell finds out Marco went behind his back to order a murder, the fallout could be catastrophic. And if Sonny catches wind of this before Marco can act? Well, we all know how Sonny handles threats to his life.

Sonny Already Has Eyes Everywhere

Speaking of Sonny, he’s not exactly sitting around waiting to be taken out. On Monday, he warned Ava that he doesn’t want Sidwell anywhere near their daughter Avery. He’s clearly already suspicious, even if he doesn’t know the full extent of what’s happening at Wyndemere.

Jason filled Sonny in on the Lucy and Ava fight over Sidwell, and they’re planning to use that drama as a distraction. They also discussed Britt’s sudden breakup and how staged it seemed โ€” Sonny’s people know something shady is going on, even if they haven’t connected all the dots yet.

If Marco thinks he can make a move on Sonny without anyone noticing, he’s severely underestimating the Corinthos organization. Sonny has survived decades of assassination attempts from people far more experienced than Marco. This kid is playing with fire.

Joss Heard Everything

Oh, and here’s a fun wrinkle: Joss was eavesdropping on the pier when Cullum met with Jack Brennan after the Marco meeting. She heard Cullum questioning Jack about Sidwell and Sonny. She’s already suspicious of Wyndemere, she’s already planning to search those catacombs during the upcoming storm, and she just called Brick for backup.

Marco might think he’s being clever, but there are eyes and ears everywhere in Port Charles. Between Sonny’s surveillance plans for Britt, Joss’s rogue investigation, and Lucas stumbling onto Britt at Wyndemere, Marco’s little secret might not stay secret for long.

The question is: will anyone figure out what Marco is planning before it’s too late for Sonny?

Is Marco about to start a war he can’t win? Sound off!
