Ian Ward Finally Got What He Wanted
We knew this day was coming, but knowing doesn’t make it any less gut-wrenching. Ian Ward has been slithering around Mariah Copeland for weeks, filling her head with poison about destiny and wholeness and all that cult leader garbage. And on Tuesday’s Canadian episode of The Young and the Restless? His twisted little plan finally worked.
Mariah was outside the Chancellor Estate watching Devon, Abby, and Dominic through the window like something out of a horror movie. They were playing in the snow, completely oblivious. When Dominic went upstairs for a nap, did Mariah leave? HA. Absolutely not. She just kept watching. Waiting. Plotting.
When she got back to her motel room, Ian Ward was ready with his manipulation playbook. Mariah told him they needed to find a different solution, but Ian Ward shut that down FAST. He reminded her how “broken” she was after leaving New Haven. He told her taking Dominic was the ONLY way to be whole again.
And when Mariah Copeland pointed out that Devon and Abby have unlimited resources and would never stop looking? Ian Ward actually SMILED and said, “They don’t have ME.”
Excuse us while we throw up.

Ian Ward’s Twisted Logic
Here’s where it gets even darker. When Mariah suggested she could just take Aria instead, Ian Ward wasn’t having it. He told her she only adopted Aria because she couldn’t have Dominic. He reminded her that SHE carried Dominic in her womb. SHE loved him first. SHE deserves him.
It’s textbook cult manipulation, and Mariah Copeland fell for every single word.
Ian Ward even had the audacity to tell Mariah that this is the only way to make herself whole again. That Tessa needs Aria, but Mariah needs Dominic. That happiness is “right around the corner.” This man belongs in prison, not whispering poison into the ear of a woman in crisis.
The Kidnapping
While Devon made a work call and Abby took Dominic outside to build a snowman, Mariah saw her opportunity. Abby ran to the garden shed to grab a bucket, and in those few moments? Mariah struck.
The episode ended with Mariah Copeland driving away from the Chancellor Estate with Dominic sleeping peacefully in the back seat. That little boy has no idea his entire life just changed. Devon and Abby are about to discover their son is GONE, and they have absolutely no idea who took him or where he is.
This is going to DESTROY them.
Also on Tuesday’s Episode
Phyllis and Cane stormed Victor’s office to gloat about their hostile takeover, giving Victor ONE WEEK to vacate the building. Phyllis delivered a verbal takedown for the ages, calling him out for disowning his children and reminding him his only friend is on his payroll. Victor sat in silence but promised to watch her fall.
Billy learned Jill has taken a turn for the worse and finally called his mother. She could barely believe it was him. He promised to visit and not cause her stress.
And Victor gathered his family at the ranch where Adam confirmed that whatever Victor asked is “all in order.” Nikki demanded details, but Victor refused. He just promised he’s going to CRUSH Cane and Phyllis.
Is Mariah Copeland beyond saving at this point? Sound off!
WATCH THIS: And we still don’t know what happened to Matt Clark…
