Someone Is Waking Up And The Fallout Will Be CATASTROPHIC

Days of Our Lives has been teasing Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s secret lab experiments for months now. We’ve watched the mad scientist combine Versix with his old resurrection serum. We’ve seen dead rats come back to life. And now the human trials are about to begin, with Rolf himself saying to the mystery tube person: “I hope you’re ready, my dear.”

There’s a woman in that tube. And when she opens her eyes, multiple Salem families are going to be absolutely wrecked.

The two frontrunners for this resurrection are Lexie Carver and Abigail DiMera. Both women left behind devastated families. And both returns would create completely different kinds of chaos.

So let’s break down exactly what each resurrection would mean for Salem.

The Case For Lexie Carver: EJ’s Ultimate Revenge On Paulina

Lexie Carver died on June 28, 2012, peacefully passing away in Abe Carver’s arms. Her death was caused by an inoperable brain tumor resulting from toxic fumes she was exposed to during a kidnapping orchestrated by her own half-brother Andre DiMera. She was Stefano DiMera’s daughter, Theo Carver’s mother, and one of the few genuinely good DiMeras to ever exist.

Here’s why the evidence points to Lexie. First, EJ DiMera has been speaking to the tube person lovingly, even apologizing after Theo was injured in the crypt. Second, Abe has name-dropped Lexie multiple times recently, saying she wouldn’t want Theo running DiMera Enterprises. Third, Theo was put on the front burner as DiMera CEO. Fourth, in the big winter promo, EJ shows Paulina Price who’s in the tube and her reaction is pure shock.

Why would EJ show Paulina? Because EJ hates Paulina. He blames her for keeping him away from Johnny and his grandson Trey. And Lexie was the love of Abe’s life. If Lexie comes back from the dead, Abe might not have a choice but to leave Paulina and return to his first wife.

Lexie was also a doctor and former Chief of Staff at Salem University Hospital. EJ could use her to replace Kayla, giving DiMera full control of the hospital.

The Case For Abigail DiMera: The Empty Grave Mystery

Abigail Deveraux DiMera was murdered on June 10, 2022, stabbed to death by Clyde Weston in the DiMera mansion. Clyde was actually there to kill Belle Black but found Abigail instead. When she threatened to call police, he killed her. Chad found her bleeding in their bed and she died shortly thereafter.

But when Chad and Jack Deveraux exhumed Abigail’s grave, it was empty. Clyde was about to reveal something important about Abby’s body when Catharina Meleounis shot him. Clyde remains in a coma to this day.

The “Fake Abigail” storyline in 2024 also deliberately left the door open for the real Abigail’s return. Cat Greene pretended to be Abigail with amnesia, but she was exposed as a fraud. Chad’s heart was broken all over again.

And here’s today’s bombshell. Chad just told Jennifer that he thought the bones in the DiMera crypt might be Abigail’s. Of course they turned out to be Stefano’s. But why would the writers have Chad say this to Jennifer, unless they’re planting seeds?

The writers clearly want us to remember that Abigail’s fate remains unresolved.

Which Resurrection Would Cause More Damage?

If Lexie returns, Abe and Paulina’s marriage is destroyed. Theo gets his mother back but has to process years of trauma. EJ gets redemption by returning his beloved sister to Salem. And the Carver-Price family implodes.

If Abigail returns, Chad’s budding connection with Cat Greene gets demolished. Thomas and Charlotte get their mother back. Jennifer’s hatred of Cat makes even more sense. And the Horton-Deveraux family gets a miracle.

Either resurrection would give Days of Our Lives months of juicy storylines. Either return would justify all the Rolf mad scientist drama we’ve been watching. And either woman waking up in that tube would absolutely devastate Salem.

The real question is whether the writers want to destroy the Carver-Price family or the DiMera-Horton connection. Given that Theo is suddenly front and center and EJ hates Paulina, our money is on Lexie Carver opening her eyes first.

But that empty grave haunts us. And Chad clearly can’t stop thinking about it either.
