VIVIAN ALAMAIN SAYS STEFAN DIMERA IS DEAD AND GABI HERNANDEZ’S WORLD CRUMBLES ANEW

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, February 5 reveal Gabi Hernandez needs comforting from her family after receiving confirmation that Stefan DiMera is truly dead. But considering Vivian Alamain is the source, should Gabi really be mourning?

Gabi Hernandez Gets the Worst News of Her Life

Thursday’s Days of Our Lives episode is about to absolutely wreck Gabi Hernandez. According to spoilers, Gabi needs comforting from her family, and we can only assume this means the news about Stefan has finally sunk in. Rafe Hernandez and Ari are reportedly there to support Gabi through this emotional devastation.

Here’s what happened. Vivian Alamain told Rafe and Eli Grant that Stefan DiMera is dead. She even agreed to have his grave exhumed for proof. The DiMera family received word of Stefan’s death back in December when Peter Blake dropped the bombshell on the kidnapped DiMeras, but Gabi has been holding onto hope that somehow her husband might still be alive.

Now that Vivian is providing so-called evidence, Gabi Hernandez has to face the possibility that Stefan is really gone forever. The woman who fought tooth and nail to be with Stefan, who forgave him for their messy divorce papers, who believed they would find their way back to each other, is now being told she has to let go permanently.

But Wait. Vivian Alamain Is the Source Here

Let’s pump the brakes on this mourning train for just a second. Vivian Alamain is the one providing proof of Stefan’s death. VIVIAN ALAMAIN. The woman who buried Carly Manning alive in a coffin equipped with an oxygen tank just so she could torment her through a two-way radio. The woman who later buried Maggie Kiriakis alive in a sarcophagus because she was jealous of Victor’s affection for her.

This is also the same Vivian who stole Kate Roberts and Victor Kiriakis’s fertilized embryo from a fertility clinic and had it implanted into her own uterus so she could give birth to their son Philip and trap Victor into marriage. The woman has literally zero boundaries when it comes to schemes.

And now we’re supposed to believe that Vivian Alamain is being completely honest about her beloved son Stefan being dead? The same Stefan she would do absolutely anything to protect? The same Stefan she helped disappear in the first place?

When Rafe and Eli went to Alamania to question Vivian, they found a laptop in her home with a live feed of Rafe’s office. She claimed to know nothing about the kidnapping broadcast, but the evidence suggests otherwise. Gabi Hernandez should be questioning everything coming out of Vivian’s mouth right now.

Philip Kiriakis Is Already Swooping In

While Gabi is falling apart over Stefan, Philip Kiriakis is conveniently right there with surprises and comfort. Wednesday’s spoilers showed Philip catching Gabi off guard by proposing a romantic trip away, and now Thursday has her family rallying around her.

Philip has been getting closer to Gabi ever since she learned about Stefan’s supposed death back in December. He let her cry on his shoulder in the park. He offered her a place to stay when she couldn’t face going home alone. And now he’s showering her with surprises while she’s emotionally vulnerable.

Look, Philip seems genuinely into Gabi, but the timing is suspicious at best. Gabi Hernandez hasn’t even properly processed whether Stefan is actually dead, and Philip is already positioning himself as the rebound. Someone might want to remind Philip that his last relationship with Gabi did not exactly end well, and that was BEFORE her husband allegedly died under mysterious circumstances involving his own mother.

Rafe and Ari Rally Around Gabi

The one bright spot in all this mess is that Gabi has her family in her corner. Rafe has been trying to get answers for his sister since the whole DiMera kidnapping situation began. He traveled all the way to Alamania with Eli to confront Vivian face to face. He wants to give Gabi closure one way or another.

And Ari being there for her mom is exactly what Gabi needs right now. This family has been through so much together, and watching them support each other through another crisis is actually kind of touching.

But here’s the thing. Gabi is grieving a death that might not even be real. She’s accepting comfort for a loss that Vivian Alamain orchestrated.

Keep watching the door, Gabi. Because in Salem, dead doesn’t always mean dead. Especially when a master manipulator like Vivian is involved.
