TL;DR: Holden Novak landed in Genoa City as Damian Kane and everyone was confused on The Young and the Restless. Now Holden is Holden, Damian is dead, and Claire Newman is the one getting laid. But why is this man still living at the Genoa City Athletic Club? And what is he actually getting paid to do? Let us unpack this baggage.

Something Smells Like L.A. and It’s Holden Novak’s GCAC Suite

So why is Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) still living at the Genoa City Athletic Club on The Young and the Restless?

Was Holden not the method to Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) means to buy up as much property as possible in Genoa City when he had GC residents held captive in the South of France? Yes, one of the properties that Holden bought on behalf of Cane was the GCPD, but that was not the only one.

Why does Holden not have a sweet condo in Genoa City instead of a suite at the GCAC? What happened to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) condo that was for sale — the one Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) were not allowed to buy per the wrath of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)?

Also, whatever happened to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) apartment above Crimson Lights? Make something make sense on The Young and the Restless!!

Now trending on The Young and the Restless… companies losing everything without actually losing everything. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole the AI software from Cane and gave it to Victor Newman to run Jabot. Well, that did not work out, but supposedly Victor used the software to wipe out Cane Ashby. Yeah, sure. Cane still totally has his train in Genoa City, and duplicates are still on every continent in the world. Cane seems just fine except for not knowing where his ex-wife and adult children are. Oh, no problem, supposedly… Now Holden is a detective.
