CARLY SPENCER AND JOSSLYN JACKS ARE BOTH POKING AROUND WYNDEMERE AND NEITHER ONE KNOWS IT ON GH

TL;DR: Carly Spencer went to Wyndemere to search for information on General Hospital. Josslyn Jacks has been doing her own investigation into Faison and the secrets inside that castle. Neither one knows the other is snooping. And Jenz Sidwell has already proven he will eliminate threats.

Carly Spencer Walked Right Into the Lion’s Den

Carly Spencer showed up at Wyndemere to “apologize” to Lucas on General Hospital. She is not there to apologize. She is there to search.

Valentin told her to check the wine cellar for the catacomb entrance. He warned her to play it safe, not arouse suspicion, and make sure she gets an invitation back. Carly needs to gain Lucas’s trust if she wants to keep digging.

But Carly does not know what she is walking into. Pascal already told Sidwell that Lucas is “one step away from discovering something he shouldn’t.” Sidwell warned Pascal to stop arousing suspicion โ€” but he also made it clear that if Pascal could not avoid drawing attention, he would have to leave.

Carly is not the only one drawing attention to herself inside that castle. And she has no idea.

Josslyn Jacks Has Been Investigating Faison

While Carly was plotting her Wyndemere visit, Josslyn has been running her own investigation.

During the blizzard, Joss found a copy of The Crystalline Conspiracy โ€” Faison’s novel โ€” inside Wyndemere. She also found a pack of cigarillos sitting next to it. The inscription inside the book read “For my muse.” Faison’s muse was Anna Devane.

Josslyn asked Liesl Obrecht about the cigarillos. Liesl told her that Faison was “unquestionably deceased” but his memory lived on in those who revered and cursed him. When Joss wondered if someone was impersonating him, Liesl chuckled that perhaps he had a very passionate fan.

Then Josslyn showed up at Emma’s and started asking questions about Anna. She wanted to know if Britt and Nathan’s returns had triggered Anna’s breakdown. She asked if Anna had actually seen Faison. Gio had to shut down the interrogation because Emma was too emotional.

Josslyn walked out of that apartment with The Crystalline Conspiracy in her purse.

Neither One Knows What the Other Is Doing

Here is the problem. Carly Spencer does not know her daughter has been snooping around Wyndemere. Josslyn does not know her mother is now doing the same thing.

They are both poking at the same secrets. They are both asking questions about Faison. They are both getting closer to the truth about what Sidwell and Cullum are hiding inside that castle.

And Sidwell has already proven what he does to people who get too close.

He murdered Dalton right in front of Britt. He and Cullum put Anna in a French mental institution after she “escaped” and was arrested. Pascal revealed that it all went exactly as Sidwell and Cullum intended. They are not amateurs. They are not bluffing. They eliminate threats.

Sidwell Could Use One to Control the Other

If Carly gets caught snooping in that wine cellar, Sidwell has leverage. He knows Josslyn has been at Wyndemere. He knows she found the book. He knows she has been asking questions.

If Josslyn gets caught, Carly might not even know until it is too late. She thinks her daughter is safe. She thinks Joss is focused on school and her relationship with Dex. She has no idea Josslyn has been playing detective inside a castle full of killers.

Carly Spencer walked into Wyndemere thinking she was the only Spencer woman with a secret mission. She is wrong. And that miscalculation could get one or both of them killed.

Valentin Cassadine Warned Her

Valentin told Carly to be careful. He told her not to arouse suspicion. He told her she needed an invitation back.

But Valentin does not know about Josslyn either. He does not know that Carly’s daughter has been running around Port Charles with Faison’s novel in her purse, interrogating Liesl Obrecht about cigarillos and grilling Emma about Anna’s mental state.

Carly thought she was protecting her family by taking this mission herself. She thought keeping Valentin hidden at her place and going to Wyndemere alone was the safe play.

She did not account for the fact that her daughter inherited her inability to stay out of dangerous situations.
