General Hospital Spoilers: Is Alex Marick Back and Impersonating Anna Devane?
General Hospital fans are convinced the woman found in France isn’t Anna Devane at all. One impossible claim about Liesl Obrecht could prove she’s actually evil twin Alex Marick.
TL;DR: The woman found in a French mental health facility claims to be Anna Devane, but General Hospital fans spotted one impossible lie that blows her cover wide open. She says Liesl Obrecht treated her during captivity โ except Liesl has been in Port Charles the entire time. Could this actually be Anna’s evil twin, Alex Marick?
The Lie That Changes Everything
Okay, General Hospital fans. We need to talk. Because something is very, VERY wrong with the woman who turned up in that French mental health facility โ and if you’ve been screaming at your screen that she’s not who she says she is, you are absolutely not alone.
Here’s the situation. Emma Scorpio (Brooklyn Rae Silzer), Mac Scorpio (John J. York), and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) returned to Port Charles after visiting “Anna” in France, and the picture they painted was alarming. The woman they found was hysterical, paranoid, requiring sedation just to hold a conversation, and making wild claims that Cesar Faison is alive. Emma came home visibly traumatized.
Now look. Anna Devane has been through absolute hell over the decades. Kidnapped, tortured, shot at, gaslit by Faison himself more times than we can count. And through ALL of it? This woman held it together. She’s a trained WSB agent with ice in her veins when it matters most. She doesn’t crumble. She calculates. She fights back.
So why is “Anna” suddenly falling apart like someone who’s never been in the field a day in her life?

Liesl Obrecht Can’t Be in Two Places at Once
Here’s where it gets really good. The woman in France claims that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) administered medical treatment for her Polycythemia Vera while she was being held captive. Sounds plausible enough on the surface, right? Liesl is a doctor, she’s treated the condition before, and she has deep ties to the Faison world.
One massive problem. Liesl has been in Port Charles the entire time Anna Devane was missing. She hasn’t gone anywhere. She’s been living her life, treating patients, and being her gloriously dramatic self right there in town where everyone can see her.
The real Anna would know this. Or at the very least, a woman with Anna’s decades of intelligence training would never make a claim that’s so easily disproven. But you know who WOULD make that mistake? Someone operating on outdated information. Someone who doesn’t know what’s actually been happening in Port Charles because she hasn’t been there.
Someone like Alexandra “Alex” Marick.
The Evil Twin Theory Has Never Made More Sense
Fan commentary on SoapHub (February 10, 2026) lit up with viewers pointing out “unfamiliar expressions,” a “stilted story,” and the blunt assessment that “this is NOT Anna.” And honestly? The evidence is stacking up fast.
Alex Marick (also played by Finola Hughes) has impersonated Anna before โ it’s literally part of her playbook. She’s Anna’s identical twin, she also suffers from Polycythemia Vera, and thanks to the memory mapping conducted by Dr. Arthur Cabot back in 2019, portions of their memories were swapped, making the impersonation even easier to pull off.
But here’s the detail that really seals it for me. The woman in France is obsessed with Peter August. She’s hallucinating visits from him, consumed by his presence. For Anna Devane, Peter was a tragic figure โ complicated, painful, but ultimately her nephew’s son. For Alex? Peter was her biological child. The son she gave up. The grief pouring out of that clinic isn’t the anguish of an aunt. That’s a mother’s devastation.
So Where Is the Real Anna?
If Alex is in France playing victim, then the real Anna is still out there somewhere. And Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) basically confirmed something sinister is happening when he told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that the photos of Anna were “doctored” and she’s in “real trouble.”
Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) isn’t buying ANY of it. He’s actively investigating Wyndemere, and his refusal to accept the breakdown story tells us everything we need to know. Could this mean the real Anna is being held somewhere in the Cassadine stronghold while her evil twin runs interference from across the ocean? My gut says yes.
With Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) set to return this week, the dominoes are about to start falling. And when they do? This whole house of cards is coming down.
