And Friday’s preview hints Dante’s next confidant isn’t Lulu at all.
The “Slide Bite” That Cracked Everything Wide Open
Acting PCPD Commissioner Dante Falconeri didn’t need a confession. He just needed a nurse. On Friday’s General Hospital, Elizabeth Baldwin looked at the cut on Rocco’s hand and told Dante what it really was — a “slide bite,” the kind of injury you only get from an amateur grip on a fired weapon. That single piece of forensic intel rewrote everything Dante thought he knew about the pier shooting of Ross Cullum.
By Monday, he was at Lulu’s door. By Tuesday, the entire cover-up had collapsed. And the actors involved are openly disagreeing about whether this is the long road back — or the slow goodbye.
Monday’s Confrontation: “Our Son Shot Cullum, Not Jason”
The Monday confrontation was surgical. Dante walked into Lulu Spencer‘s house, checked that the kids were elsewhere, and said it: “I just found out that our son shot Ross Cullum, not Jason, and you knew.” Lulu didn’t bother denying it for long.
She tried the only card she had — reminding Dante that he once let a teenage Michael go to prison by going strictly by the book. Dante shot back that he’s “not the same cop anymore.” Then came the gut-punch: “You taught our son to lie to his own father because you didn’t trust me to handle it. Lulu’s defense was that she’d been protecting Rocco Falconeri from the WSB. Dante’s response was that she’d needed to protect him from the WSB — not from his own father. And the worst part? Dante was right. It’s only a matter of time before the WSB connects the same dots he just did.
Tuesday’s Lulu vs. Britt Showdown — “A Ticking Time Bomb”
Tuesday’s General Hospital took it nuclear. Lulu summoned Britt Westbourne — Rocco’s gestational carrier and the only other person in his corner — to align stories. Within minutes, they were screaming. Britt called Rocco “a ticking time bomb waiting to explode” and conceded that maybe sending him out of town wasn’t the worst idea Cassius had ever had.
Lulu sobbed about missing the pregnancy and the first seven months of Rocco’s life. Britt’s response: “But who’s counting?” — followed by calling Lulu “selfish” and adding, “I’m glad Dante knows the truth now.” Lulu threw her out: “Get the hell out of this house. If anything happens to my son, it’s all on you.”
While that was happening, Dante Falconeri was at the PCPD ripping into “Nathan”/Cassius and learning that Lulu had already ended their situationship after Cassius pushed her to ship Rocco out of town. Dante banned Cassius from Rocco. Lulu’s last alliance? Gone.
The Actors Are Openly Disagreeing About Where This Lands
Dominic Zamprogna told Soap Opera Digest on May 9 that Dante and Lulu could be looking at “a very long time to heal from this, because of her lack of transparency.” Three days later, Alexa Havins gave the same magazine the opposite read: “I always keep that in the back of my mind — that Dante and Lulu are endgame.”
Reading between the lines? Both actors are technically right. Zamprogna is talking about what Dante feels right now — and right now, Lulu is dead to him. Havins is talking about long-game soap math, where every couple who’s ever loved each other eventually circles back. The question is whether the writers care about either of them — because Friday’s preview shows Elizabeth opening up to Dante.

What Friday’s Preview Tells Us About Dante’s Next Move
The ABC weekly grid for Friday, May 15, lists four words that should make every Lante fan nervous: “Elizabeth opens up to Dante.” Soap Opera Digest already ran an editorial on May 9 titled “Why Dante and Elizabeth’s Potential Romance is Worth Exploring.” The pieces are being moved into place in plain sight.
Tonight isn’t slowing it down either. Dante Falconeri’s “tough conversation” with Rocco lands tonight — reportedly telling his son that Britt has “something going on with Cullum, and she’s hiding something.” Meanwhile Britt is telling Lucas above Bobbie’s that “it would be best for everyone if I just disappeared.”
Why Lulu’s Cover-Up Was Always Going to Break
The truth is, Lulu was running a cover-up with the world’s leakiest witnesses. Jason Morgan sacrificed his freedom to take the fall — and got shipped off to a WSB black site for his trouble. Britt was being blackmailed by Cullum from minute one. Cassius was running his own play. And Rocco himself was so rattled he gave Elizabeth enough of a glimpse to crack the whole thing open.
Something tells me Lulu is officially out of moves. Don’t be surprised if Isaiah Gannon is the next domino — he already warned her his car damage could force him to come clean. By next week, Lulu may be running. The only question is whether she runs with Rocco, or from him. Either way, Dante Falconeri is the one holding all the cards now.
