VICTORIA NEWMAN GOT BLINDSIDED BY LILY’S CHANCELLOR DEAL
TL;DR: On Tuesday, June 9, Young and the Restless hands us Victoria Newman finding out at the Shadow Room opening that her father gave Chancellor away to Lily Winters and tried to negotiate it back like the deal was up for grabs. Meanwhile Audra has flashbacks she did not order, Billy reminds Adam he killed his daughter, and Nick admits he misses the fentanyl.

Victoria Newman Walked Into the Shadow Room and Got Hit With a Chancellor Bombshell
On Tuesday, Victoria Newman strolled into the new Genoa City Shadow Room thinking she was there to support Noah and ended up congratulating Lily Winters on Malcolm’s surgery. Lily, with the polite venom only a Winters can deliver, asked if Victor had not told her about Chancellor. Reader, the screen FROZE. Victoria Newman refused to BELIEVE her father would hand Chancellor over without CONSULTING her. She told Lily NOT to get comfortable. Lily said it was a DONE deal. Reader, Lily Winters delivered a corporate kill shot with the same smile she uses to order Chardonnay.
Victoria Newman tried to NEGOTIATE. She offered terms. She offered a counter. Lily smiled, said she is GOOD, and ended the conversation. Victoria walked off in a daze. Later, Lily floated over to Malcolm and told him Victor had signed Chancellor OVER. Malcolm was PROUD. He was also SURPRISED Lily trusted Cane enough to run the place. Lily said Cane has proven himself. Reader, Victoria Newman has absorbed the news of the year from a woman she did not even ask for the news and we are not RECOVERED. Heinle’s eyebrow muscle has its own social security number at this point.

Audra and Holden Walked Into the Club to a Flashback Neither of Them Ordered
The Shadow Room opening was packed. Noah Newman was nervous. Sienna Clark was finally feeling something OTHER than dread about the place. The line wrapped around the block. They kissed. They told each other they have THIS. The doors opened. Then Audra Charles walked in with Sally Spectra and FROZE. The replica of the LA club triggered a FLASHBACK of the night Audra and Holden killed Richard.
Sienna pointedly told Audra she must have a lot of MEMORIES of the place. The hostility was THICK enough to carve. Sally asked Audra what that was about. Audra deflected with the Noah-Sienna affair. Then Holden Novak and Claire Newman ARRIVED. Holden saw Audra and got pulled into the SAME flashback. Claire noticed he zoned out. She offered to leave. He stayed. Reader, the Shadow Room is a CRIME SCENE in disguise and Y&R is making us watch Holden Novak host a soft-launch INSIDE it. The dread is GOURMET.
Billy Reminded Adam at Society That He Killed Delia and Walked Out
Over at Society, Billy Abbott was sitting at the bar surprised to see Adam Newman in town instead of at the East Coast fundraiser. Adam said someone had to mind the new-old company. He bragged the Newmans always WIN. They traded the kind of insults that have been fueling their feud for fifteen years. Adam wondered if there would ever be a day when they did not HURL insults at each other. “You tell me,” Billy said.
Adam admitted he has become PHILOSOPHICAL from losing. Billy reminded him there will NEVER be a time when they do not hate each other and slammed him with the line. “When you KILLED my daughter.” Reader. The room TILTED. Adam said it is true. He said Delia came to him in a DREAM and he uses the pain to focus on his son. He asked Billy what Delia would say about them. “I pray she does not give you a second thought,” Billy said. Adam tried to apologize. Billy warned him NEVER to mention his daughter again and walked out. Reader, Jason Thompson and Mark Grossman gave us a back-alley fight scene without throwing a single PUNCH and the air left the building.
Stephanie and Malcolm Cleared the Air About Holden at the GCAC
Earlier at the GCAC, Malcolm Winters and Stephanie sat with Lily and Holden reminiscing about their old days. Malcolm cracked jokes about teaching the rest of them to dance. Holden said he had to go change for the club opening. Lily suggested they all go. Then Stephanie thanked Malcolm for spending TIME with Holden today.
Malcolm said he and Stephanie had a great TIME back in the day. He admitted it was hard to find out he had a SON. But he admires her courage for stepping up and does not SECOND-GUESS her choices. He is choosing GRATITUDE. Reader, Shemar Moore is rewriting the absent-dad arc into a present-dad arc and we are taking NOTES. Y&R, give us a Stephanie/Malcolm flashback episode. Pretty please.
Nick Filled Sharon in About Matt and Admitted He Still Misses the Fentanyl
Over at Crimson Lights, Nick Newman called SECURITY to make sure Matt was being watched at the ranch. He told Sharon Newman she looked great. They were both dressed for the Shadow Room. They marveled how quickly Noah had pulled the club together. Nick admitted that remorseful Matt is MESSING with his head. It was easier when he was pure EVIL. Sharon admitted it is hard to be grateful to someone who saved Nick’s life.
Then the gut punch. Nick admitted Victor had moved Matt onto the RANCH. Sharon was SHOCKED to learn she now has the man as a neighbor. Then a worse gut punch. Nick admitted that, even with the methadone, he is REALLY MISSING the fentanyl. Reader. He said it OUT LOUD. The babysitter called and Christian was sick. Nick took off. Reader, Joshua Morrow let one sentence carry an entire relapse risk and Y&R is BUILDING something we are not ready for.
