TL;DR: On Thursday, June 11, Young and the Restless gives us Victor walking into the office to find Phyllis Summers packing up and offering her a fixer-upper she did NOT see coming, plus Stephanie asking Nate to dinner and the medicine question again, Billy warning Lily that Cane will burn her, and Nick speaking at AA for the first time with his mother by his side.

Phyllis Summers Was Packing Up Her Portrait When Victor Newman Walked Into the Office

“Sucks to be you, doesn’t it?” Phyllis Summers told her portrait. Everything had disappeared. Even after doing the RIGHT thing, she had lost it ALL. Then Victor Newman walked in. Phyllis assumed it was another GAME. He told her he had spoken to the DA. All charges have been DROPPED. She said it cost her her COMPANY. “My company girl!” he reminded her. He admired the GUTS it took for her to do what she did.

Reader. Victor commended Phyllis Summers for standing up to him and WINNING. Briefly. Then he sat down and offered her a FUTURE. She was SKEPTICAL. He reminded her that he dismantled Arabesque. Some of it is LEFT. He told her it would be a great “fixer-upper” for someone AMBITIOUS. He was certain she could turn it into a viable corporation. No CATCH. Phyllis was BAFFLED. Victor told her she saved his BOY’S life. She can decide what is next. He wants her stuff out of the office by end of DAY. Reader. The man handed her a do-over and walked out.

Phyllis Summers Brought the News to Lauren Fenmore at Society and Got Her Hand-Holding

Lauren Fenmore arrived at Society and found Phyllis already there. Phyllis filled her in on Victor’s offer. Lauren thought it sounded like a TRAP. Victor holds GRUDGES. He sent her the papers to make the transfer COMPLETE. He urged her to make amends with Summer. Phyllis did not want to cause Nick any STRESS. Victor told her he has a plan for Matt Clark and asked her NOT to interfere or share Matt’s history. Phyllis gave him her WORD. Stephanie Asked Nate Hastings to Dinner and Asked the Medicine Question Again at Chancellor Park Café

Nate Hastings ran into Stephanie Simmons at the Chancellor Park Café. She had taken the job at MEMORIAL. She offered to buy him lunch as a thanks for the recommendation. He LOVED it. They had a mutual ADMIRATION fest. Then she asked the question. Has he considered practicing medicine AGAIN. Nate admitted he has THOUGHT of it. Being a doctor was rewarding. But he is HAPPY where he is at in the family BUSINESS.

Billy Abbott Told Lily Winters That Hiring Cane Ashby Was Going to Blow Up in Her Face

At the GCAC, Billy Abbott caught up with Lily Winters. They talked about everyone making it through. They caught up about Phyllis. Lily asked Billy to keep an OPEN mind for her news. Then she announced that Victor had given her CHANCELLOR. He was SURPRISED. He was HAPPY for her. But he admitted he would still like the COMPANY himself. He asked what her plans were.

Lily has bad memories of the merger and will keep Chancellor as its OWN entity. She is not leaving Winters. She asked Cane Ashby to RUN it. Reader. Billy was APPALLED. He told Lily she trusts Cane more than him after Cane has SCREWED over everyone. He said she would REGRET this. She said his logic was clouded by EMOTION. Billy warned her she is chasing a PHANTOM and Cane will hurt her again. He is also CONFIDENT Devon Winters will not condone this. Lily said she can make her own DECISIONS. Billy wishes her all the best but does not want to see her HURT. Reader, Billy put it ON RECORD and walked away. The countdown to the Devon-vs-Lily showdown is OFFICIALLY on.

Nick Newman Spoke at AA in the Basement of the GCAC With Nikki Newman by His Side

At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman told Nikki Newman he wanted to go to a MEETING and share his story. His mom said the first time is HARD. Nick asked her to GO with him. She was PROUD of him. They recalled the first time SHE had spoken at a meeting and how much weight it had LIFTED off her shoulders. Then they went to the basement of the GCAC.

After listening, Nick eventually SPOKE. He never thought he would end up in a place like this. He always saw himself as a HERO. He could not even save HIMSELF. People told him this could happen to ANYONE. Sobbing, Nick explained he OD’d in front of his FATHER and SON. The dude he hates more than anyone in the world saved his LIFE. Drugs cost him his DIGNITY. The worst thing is knowing he LET his family DOWN. He does not want to feel like that ANY longer. Reader. Nick broke on the screen and we COMPLETELY broke with him.

Back at Crimson Lights, Nick admitted he has not OVERCOME his addiction. He has a long way to GO. He needs them to keep him ACCOUNTABLE. Then they got a Victor TEXT pulling them to the ranch where Matt Clark was RECEIVING his assignment to take down Cane. The Newman wars stay messy on a Thursday.
