Our Theory: Patty Engineered The Whole Thing

Here is where our heads went, and we are not ashamed of it. We believe Patty Williams is the architect of Diane Jenkins’ disappearance, full stop. Patty has a long, deranged history of fixating on Jack, and she has never once respected the concept of a locked door, a restraining order, or another woman’s marriage.

Our bet is that Patty lured, drugged, or otherwise spirited Diane out of Genoa City and parked her somewhere remote and disorienting, possibly that L.A. property precisely because it would keep Diane confused and compliant. A woman waking up in a house she half-recognizes is a woman who second-guesses her own mind. That is not an accident. That, we predict, is design.

And the motive could not be simpler. With Diane out of the picture, the field is wide open. Patty gets to play the patient, devoted presence at Jack’s side while he spirals, positioning herself as the soft place to land.

A Doctor Is Coming, And We Have Suspicions

Here is the development that has us truly losing it. A brand new physician, Dr. Laurence Markham, is about to hit the Genoa City canvas right as the Diane mystery reaches a fever pitch. The show has not breathed a word about who he actually is or whose side he is on. So naturally, we filled in the blanks ourselves.

Our theory? We think Dr. Laurence Markham could be the shrink who cleared Patty for release in the first place. Picture it: the very doctor who signed off on unleashing Patty back into the public, about to turn up exactly when she needs cover. We predict these two are working together, and that his arrival is no coincidence at all.
