THEO CARVER DREW THE MOST DEFINITIVE LINE IN SALEM AND GABI DIMERA IS ABOUT TO SIT DIRECTLY ACROSS A CORPORATE WAR FROM IT

TL;DR: Theo Carver told Gabi DiMera he wanted nothing to do with her on Days of Our Lives, closed the door, and walked away with his dignity intact. He is now co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises. She is now an equal shareholder at Titan. These two companies are heading for a collision and the two people who cannot stand each other are the ones sitting at the top of each side of that war.

The Line Theo Drew

Theo Carver gave Gabi DiMera her equal share of Stefan’s inheritance without a fight. He said no personal feelings were involved. He told her he was relieved he would never have to face her in a courtroom. He stressed that he wanted nothing to do with her going forward, said goodbye, and walked out of that meeting with every inch of his dignity still attached.

For Salem that is an extraordinary exit. Most people in this city cannot get through a single conversation with someone they have wronged or been wronged by without a dramatic reversal, a tearful confession, or at minimum a long look over the shoulder. He said his piece, closed his chapter with Gabi DiMera, and left.

And then the universe immediately put them on opposite sides of the biggest corporate war in Salem.

Could Salem’s most professionally hostile pairing be the most combustible thing happening at DiMera Enterprises and Titan right now? Send your wildest theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we might publish yours next!

The Collision Course

Here is the landscape as it currently stands. Theo Carver is co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises alongside Johnny DiMera. He has Lexie’s blessing, Johnny’s partnership, and a very clear mandate from both of them to clean up the DiMera name and build something Stefano would not recognize. He told EJ DiMera checkmate. He is feeling, for perhaps the first time in his Salem life, completely untouchable.

And across town, Gabi DiMera is sitting at Titan’s table as an equal shareholder. She turned down the DiMera CEO chair to be there. She walked into that building with Stefan’s inheritance money, a guilt complex, and a history with Philip Kiriakis that made making things official on her terms feel like the only option worth taking. She has a price she has not named yet. She has a plan she has not announced. And she now sits at the helm of the company that DiMera Enterprises has been fighting since long before either of them had any power inside these walls.

Titan versus DiMera. Gabi versus Theo. On paper this is a corporate rivalry. In Salem it is something considerably more personal.

Salem’s Track Record With Lines That Do Not Hold

Here is what the history of this show tells us about clean exits and firm declarations. They do not hold. They never hold. Steve Johnson told Kayla Brady he was done with her and she became the love of his life. EJ DiMera told Sami Brady they were finished more times than anyone has counted. Philip Kiriakis told Gabi DiMera he was done with her and she is now sitting at Titan’s table because Xander overrode him on a financial decision.

Theo Carver is a man who means what he says. He is also a man who will now spend his professional life watching Gabi DiMera make decisions across a boardroom table that directly affect the company he has staked his reputation on cleaning up. Every Titan move she makes will land on Theo’s desk as a DiMera problem. Every time the two companies collide, these two people will be the ones in the room.

Salem has never once allowed two people with this much unresolved tension to stay on opposite sides of anything for very long. Theo drew a clean line. Gabi has never in her life respected a line when she saw something worth crossing it for. Could Theo Carver find that the woman he closed the door on is the most complicated variable in a corporate war he thought he had already won?

And could Gabi DiMera, who has always known exactly how to read a room, already see it coming?

Could the Theo Carver and Gabi DiMera dynamic be Salem’s most explosive corporate rivalry or is this heading somewhere far more personal? Sound off below!
