Passion is Crashin’! DAYS Liam Selejko Blew His $150K Deal to Kiss Ari Horton and Gabi DiMera Walked In At Just The Wrong Time!

TL;DR: On Days of Our Lives, Liam Selejko came back to Salem after being questioned about his baby mama’s overdose death, supposedly to check on Ari Horton’s welfare. Then he ,decided to give Ari a passionate farewell kiss – right there in the hospital hallway – just as both Aaron Greene and Gabi DiMera walked in on the action. The Gabi and Ari blowup that follows is going to break something in that family that does not easily get fixed.

The Absolute Nerve of This Man

Liam Selejko came back to Salem for a girl he was paid $150,000 to stay away from, kissed her passionately in the hospital hallway, and managed to do it in front of both her mother AND the new boyfriend at the same time. We have questions.

Here is the setup. Holly Jonas collapsed, pulling Brady Black and Sarah Horton back to the hospital from investigative activities that took them to question Liam Selejko. He followed them, supposedly to check on Ari’s welfare, after promising to share what he could about the overdose that killed his son Gage’s biological mom, Clea. Coriseal, the drug in question, was allegedly distributed by DiMera Industries and spoilers indicate Holly Jonas may be the next patient who will present with the drug in her system. But Sarah and Brady went to Liam. Liam had no need to set a foot in Salem again. And there are one hundred and fifty thousand reasons why he had no business being there.

Liam came to the hospital anyway.

Ari Horton spotted him. Of course she did. And of course she had questions, because the last time she saw Liam he evaporated from Salem without a real explanation, ghosting her calls and texts for weeks. Suddenly, he was ready to really plant one on her – this from the same man who could barely bring himself to kiss her when they were alone in her dorm room together.

Ari questioned what had happened. She wanted to know what could have caused him to leave town without a trace. Liam told her something had come up. An opportunity. That something was a $150,000 check from her mother to permanently remove himself from Ari’s orbit. Which he did. And then, he proceeded to sprinkle bread crumbs all around his new town; the kind of breadcrumbs that come from someone who has new money to spend and isn’t shy about flashing it.

He had to leave the hospital, Liam told her, and then, rather than accepting the mercy of a quick exit, Liam Selejko decided he owed Ari a proper goodbye and told her just that. He kissed her. Passionately. In the hospital. The very place he had no business being under the terms of his arrangement with Gabi DiMera.

Aaron Greene and Gabi DiMera walked in from different angles at that exact moment. Because of course they did.

What Was the Plan Here, Exactly

We need to talk about the decision-making on this canvas right now.

Liam accepted a six-figure payment. He agreed to leave town and stay away from Ari. He did all of this and then goes back to Salem to check on the exact woman he agreed he would never see again. And then he kisses her in front of numerous witnesses, including the very woman who signed the check that allowed him to buy all his impressive new toys. The writers are telling us either that Liam is genuinely unhinged or that his feelings for Ari Horton overrode every rational thought the second he saw her. Either reading leads to the same place: an explosion.

Because everyone has apparently noticed that Liam recently came into a significant amount of money. People are talking. When Ari Horton connects those dots, she is not going to ask politely for an explanation.

Gabi DiMera’s Reckoning Is Coming

Gabi DiMera paid a man to disappear from her daughter’s life without telling Ari, without asking Ari, and without considering for one second that the problem might come walking back through the door. She made a unilateral decision about who Ari was allowed to have feelings for and wrote a check to make it go away.

The problem did not go away. It kissed her daughter in a hospital hallway and got caught doing it.

Spoilers confirm Ari will push Liam until he lets something slip, and once she connects Gabi to the payoff, she confronts her mother directly. Gabi will defend herself by saying she was protecting Ari from a guy who was all wrong for her. She is not entirely wrong. But Ari does not care about her mother’s reasoning, and she should not have to.

The fact that this blowup hits while Gabi is already navigating the Titan standoff with Theo Carver and the broader Coriseal fallout makes the timing exceptionally messy. Gabi walked into that hallway thinking she was seeing her daughter after she’d moved on. She walked out carrying a consequence she built herself.

What Ari Does Next Is Everything

Ari may forgive Liam. Spoilers lean that direction, which is honestly fair. He was pressured out of town by a woman with significant resources and a clear agenda. He is not blameless, but the architect of this mess is Gabi.

The more interesting question is what Ari Horton does with her mother once the truth lands. Sources say she may refuse to live under the same roof as Gabi and that their bond could go cold for a long time. That is a consequence Gabi earned.

And somewhere in Salem, Aaron Greene is processing having watched a passionate reunion kiss while being in the middle of a supportive moment for the girl he is seeing, which is a very specific kind of awful.

Nobody in this storyline is getting out of this week clean. And we are completely here for it.
