Nikki’s World Goes Dark at the Worst Possible Moment
At the hospital, the whole clan circles Nikki Newman as her eyesight slips further away, and even she cannot wave this one off. Claire Newman, Nick, and Victoria Newman refuse to budge from her side, insisting they have nowhere more important to be, and for all her protests, she is grateful they stayed. Tucked in the corner, Victor Newman is barely holding it together, and he slips into the hall to break down where she cannot see him.
Victoria and Claire chase him down before he can disappear, because he is convinced his presence only piles on the stress. His daughter will not hear it, he cannot leave, full stop. He folds them into a hug and promises he will be right back, he only needs to push Stephanie to get that surgeon on a plane. The man who handed back her company is now moving the earth to save her.
Inside, Nikki confesses to Nicholas Newman that she is terrified to even open her eyes, the vision is that far gone. She strokes his face, tells him it is perfect, and urges him to protect his own recovery if the hospital is too much. When the girls return and admit Victor already knows and has been frantically dialing for a surgeon, Nikki Newman is stunned. Her son reminds her of the obvious: she is, and always has been, Victor’s number one.
Victor Charters a Miracle While the Clock Screams
Over at Society, Lily Winters runs into Nate Hastings and Stephanie Simmons, and the news comes spilling out. Nate explains the mass on the optic nerve, the rapid decline, the brutal hunt for the one surgeon who can pull this off. He admits he misses the operating room, though he swears business excites him more these days, a claim Lily clearly files away with a raised eyebrow.
Then Stephanie sweeps back with the words everyone has been praying for: her colleague can come immediately. When Victor arrives, she tells him the renowned specialist can land today, and he instantly offers his private jet and his endless gratitude. He gets Victoria on the phone, passes along the good news, and watches a fraction of the dread lift.
As they head out, Lily recalls the heartbreak of Neil losing his sight, and Victor remembers it all too well. The three of them marvel at how Victor and Nikki Newman are simply written in the stars, two people who always claw their way back to each other no matter the wreckage. It is the kind of love that makes the next moment land like a freight train.
Back at the hospital, Victoria tells the family the surgeon is en route, that Victor came through the way he always does when it counts. And then Victor walks in at the exact moment to hear his wife sob the words that gut the entire room. It is too late. Her eyesight is gone.

Kyle and Jack Bait the Trap to Spring Diane
At Crimson Lights, Kyle Abbott wraps a call with Harrison before Jack Abbott drops into the seat across from him with a plan that makes his son’s stomach turn. Jack insists he has to be the one to break into Markham’s house, because keeping Kyle safe is non-negotiable. Kyle still thinks they could lean on Patty, but Jack does not buy that for a second.
The real play is luring Markham out of his fortress. Kyle takes the direct route and calls, lands in voicemail, and leaves a message with teeth, he followed the doctor home, spotted his mother through the window, and the man had better call back or the police get involved. If Markham takes the bait and responds, the brothers will have their proof that Diane is locked inside.
It is a gamble, but desperation makes for bold strategy, and these two are fresh out of patience. Now they wait to see whether the so-called doctor panics.
Diane Outplays Laurence Even as He Closes the Net
Back at the house, Diane Jenkins comes out swinging, accusing Laurence Markham of lying about Patty Williamsmoving in with Jack and trying to provoke a reaction. She is certain this is Patty’s handiwork and that the two of them are running a coordinated con, leaving her gaslit and caged. Laurence holds his ground, swearing Jack himself called him and even describing the home’s interior to prove he was there.
He twists deeper, claiming a woman let herself in and played hostess with cozy body language, then relaying that Jack wanted Diane to know he has moved on for good. Diane crumbles into hysterical sobs on the outside, while on the inside she is coldly clocking the truth, that Patty and Laurence are clearly playing her. The real question gnawing at her is what game Jack is running by playing along with Patty.
Then the phone changes everything. Laurence steps away to fetch sedatives, hears Kyle’s voicemail, and calls right back with a nervous opener about needing to talk. He claims he was mistaken, that Diane is at an undisclosed clinic, and when Kyle threatens to show up with police, the doctor proposes they meet in town at Crimson Lights instead. He tells Diane he is off to grab her sleep aid and suggests she squeeze in a workout, never guessing the walls are already closing in around him.
Patty Hears Far Too Much at Crimson Lights
Jack praises Kyle for nailing the setup, certain the plan can actually work, and Kyle tells his father to be careful out there. The pieces are finally clicking into place for the Abbott men, who are one bold move away from blowing this whole captivity scheme wide open.
There is only one problem, and she is sitting right around the corner. Patty has been perched out of sight the entire time, soaking up every word, which means the rescue these two think is a secret may already be compromised.
