The Young and the Restless
Diane Jenkins Is Not Falling for Dr. McCreepy, She Is Running a Con, and Y&R Fans Need to Stop McPuking Long Enough to See It
Diane Jenkins is advancing toward Dr. McCreepy on Y&R. Fans are McPuking. Put the bucket down. Diane faked her death. She can fake anything.
DIANE JENKINS FAKED HER OWN DEATH, AND SHE CAN FAKE ANYTHING ELSE DR. MCCREEPY THINKS IS HAPPENING
TL;DR: Diane Jenkins is advancing toward Dr. Laurence Markham on The Young and the Restless, and fans are McPuking at their screens. We understand. We are asking everyone to take a breath. Diane Jenkins faked her own death and fooled all of Genoa City for years. She manipulated her way back into Jack Abbott’s life using information about a grandchild he did not know existed. The woman can fake anything. What Dr. McCreepy thinks is happening in that house and what is actually happening are two completely different things.
Let Us Talk About What Diane Jenkins Actually Is
Diane Jenkins is not a woman who waits to be rescued. She is a woman who has survived things that should have ended her, not by sitting quietly and hoping someone shows up in time, but by reading every room she walks into, identifying every pressure point available to her, and pressing until something gives.
This woman faked her own death. She did not fake a headache or a business trip. She faked her entire existence being over, and then she came back years later and walked straight back into Genoa City like she owned the place. She manipulated her way back into Jack Abbott’s life by weaponizing information about a granddaughter he did not know existed. She has been playing long games since before most people in this town learned the rules.
And fans on social media are watching her advance toward Dr. McCreepy and reaching for a bucket.
We are asking everyone to put the bucket down.

Dr. McCreepy Does Not Know Who He Is Dealing With
Here is what Dr. Laurence Markham thinks is happening in his house. He thinks he has a vulnerable woman in an unfamiliar situation, developing an attachment to the only person showing her any kindness. He thinks the fresh clothes, toiletries, shower, and therapy sessions are working exactly as he planned. He thinks Diane is grateful.
Dr. McCreepy has made a significant miscalculation.
What he actually has in that house is a woman who has been reading him since the moment she arrived. Diane knows exactly what she is doing and exactly what she is working with.
The therapy angle is not a breakthrough. It is a door. Diane is not developing feelings, she is developing a plan. The moment that plan is fully formed, Dr. McCreepy is going to discover that the woman he thought he had under control was never under his control at all.
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott’s Rescue Plan Is Moving at the Speed of Cold Molasses
We want to be fair to Jack Abbott. He is trying. He has a plan. The plan does not involve Detective Burrows, who is still somewhere in Genoa City waiting on a callback that has never come, but he has a plan.
It is also moving at the speed of cold molasses in January. Diane has been in Dr. McCreepy’s house long enough to shower, receive multiple outfits, attend what appears to be an ongoing therapy arrangement, and now begin the active phase of whatever she is running. Jack is still in the planning stages.
Diane did not survive faking her own death and everything that came after by waiting for someone else to get around to saving her. She is not waiting now. She is working. And the fans who are McPuking at their screens are watching the setup without seeing the play.
Trust Diane Jenkins to Handle It
This is the thing about Diane that The Young and the Restless keeps forgetting and then remembering at exactly the right moment. She is not a victim. She has never been a victim. She has been in impossible situations before, and she has always found the angle that nobody else saw because nobody else was looking from inside the impossible situation.
Dr. McCreepy picked up the wrong woman on the side of that road. He gave her a shower, fresh clothes, and a therapy session, and thought that was enough to keep her compliant. What he gave her was time and proximity and a pressure point. That is all Diane has ever needed.
Diane Jenkins is not falling for Dr. McCreepy. She is falling into position. Put the bucket away, Genoa City.
