A Fresh Face With a Loaded Resume
Genoa City is getting a new resident, and she’s bringing some serious hardware with her. Jade Harlow has been tapped to join Young and the Restless as Marie Kirkland, a woman the show describes as carrying a complicated past and chasing a fresh start. Harlow makes her first appearance in the episode airing Monday, August 10.
Harlow is no stranger to daytime. She made her debut back in 2000, stepping into the role of Jessica Bennett on the NBC soap Passions after Mary Elizabeth Winstead exited the part, and stayed with the show for three years. In 2014, she popped up on Days of Our Lives as Sheryl Connors, a short-term love interest for Lucas.
Her biggest run, though, came on the streaming soap The Bay, where she starred as Lianna Ramos from 2010 to 2020 and racked up multiple Daytime Emmy nominations along the way. She won Outstanding Supporting or Guest Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2017, then took home Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Digital Drama Series in 2020. She also produced The Bay, sharing in the show’s Daytime Emmy wins for Outstanding New Approaches, Drama Series in 2015 and Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2016.
Beyond daytime, Harlow has stacked up primetime credits on shows like Zoo, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., FBI: International, and Criminal Minds, along with film roles in projects like Sharing Christmas, Deadly Patient, and Christmas on the Ranch.

A Funny Little Family Connection
Here’s a soap-family coincidence worth clocking: both of Harlow’s on-screen Passions parents have already made their way through Genoa City. Dana Sparks, who played her mother Grace Bennett, took on the role of Lena Cavett in 2021, and James Hyde, who played her father Sam Bennett, portrayed Jeremy Stark from 2022 to 2023. Whether that’s pure trivia or a sign Genoa City just runs in the family, we’re not ruling anything out.
