The Bold and the Beautiful
THE BABY BOMBSHELL COVER-UP BEGINS! B&B’s Carter Walton Has A “Way Out” For Steffy Forrester’s Pregnancy Secret
Steffy Forrester’s B&B pregnancy is confirmed, and Carter Walton already has a scary sounding way out for both of them going forward.
WILL STEFFY FORRESTER AND CARTER WALTON FAKE A SURROGACY TO PASS THIS BABY OFF AS DAPHNE’S MIRACLE CHILD?
Steffy Forrester’s pregnancy is officially confirmed, and instead of a confession, Carter Walton is already talking about a “way out” on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Two Tests, Zero Doubt
Steffy Forrester gasps the second the first test confirms it, then tells herself it has to be wrong. She digs a second test out of the kitchen cupboard, paces while it processes, and gets the exact same answer. “I’m pregnant… really pregnant… really pregnant,” she repeats to herself, like saying it three times might somehow make it less true. There is no more room for denial after that, and Steffy knows it.
She does not sit with the news for long. Steffy storms into the Forrester office panting, tracking down Carter Walton the moment Ridge clears the room. She tells him it is more important than ever that Finn find out what happened between them. Carter insists that night was a mistake and nothing will ever come of it, but Steffy is done pretending. She reminds him that night is with them forever, that they are not in control of it anymore, and that everyone is going to know.

Carter’s “Way Out” Sounds More Like A Trap
Here is where this storyline turns from messy into genuinely dangerous. Coming up, Carter catches Steffy alone at the Cliff House and tells her he has “a way out of this situation for all of us.” That is not the sentence of a man planning to walk into Finn’s living room and confess. That is the sentence of a man building a cover story, and the timing lines up with something else already brewing at the office: Daphne, with Taylor standing right beside her, telling Ridge she wishes the person helping them have a baby was “someone we knew and could trust.” Ridge, completely oblivious, responds that it should not matter who helps them get there.
Put those two conversations next to each other and the shape of the con becomes obvious. Fan theories have already started floating around suggesting Carter and Steffy Forrester might try to pass this pregnancy off as a surrogacy arrangement for Carter and Daphne instead of the affair it actually is, using a “trusted donor” story to explain why the baby exists at all. Nothing in the actual footage confirms that mechanism yet, but Carter’s “way out” line and Daphne’s “someone we could trust” comment happening in the same breath is exactly the kind of setup The Bold and the Beautiful loves to drop before blowing it wide open. Even chatter outside the show has picked up on how neatly the timing lines up.
Steffy Cannot Fake Her Way Through This Forever
If Carter and Steffy Forrester really do try selling a surrogacy story to Daphne, they are betting everything on nobody ever asking the one question that ends the whole scheme: why would Steffy, married to Finn and building a family of her own, hand her body over to carry someone else’s baby in secret? Daphne already trusts Steffy completely, which makes her exactly the kind of person a con like this could fool, right up until it cannot.
That is the real problem with buying time instead of confessing. Every day this cover story holds is another day Finn keeps believing Monaco left “zero lasting consequences,” another day Daphne keeps planning a nursery for a baby that already exists inside her best friend, and another day the truth gets harder to deliver gently. Steffy Forrester wanted control over how this comes out. A fake surrogacy plan does not hand her control, it only delays the explosion.
Taylor Already Suspects Something Is Wrong
Taylor does not need proof to know her daughter is unraveling. Coming up, she tells Ridge flatly that something about Steffy feels off, and she is not wrong. Whatever cover story Carter thinks he has cooked up, Steffy’s own mother may end up being the first person on this show to sense the truth before anyone confesses it out loud.

A Cover-Up Nobody Can Keep Straight
Steffy Forrester’s pregnancy is confirmed, and instead of walking toward the truth, Carter Walton is already plotting a way around it. A fake surrogacy story might buy them a few weeks, but with Taylor already sensing something is wrong, this cover-up has an expiration date built in from day one.
