A Second Positive Test Leaves Steffy Reeling
Steffy Forrester Finnegan is pregnant, and she told Carter Walton before she told her own husband. That is the bombshell at the heart of this Bold and the Beautiful recap September 11, and the rest of Friday’s half hour was just as messy. Steffy stormed through the cliff house clutching a test box and muttering that it had to be wrong. She took a second test, paced until the timer went off, and got the same answer. Positive, again.
Here is why that result terrifies her. Steffy came home from Monaco reeling in August and ended up in a drunken one-night stand with Carter. The two agreed to bury it. Anyone following the week’s B&B spoiler chatter saw trouble coming, but nobody expected it to show up in a little plastic window.
Over at Forrester, Ridge Forrester had no clue he was twisting the knife. He thanked Carter for being there for Steffy when she came back from Monaco spiraling, then assured him a child is in his future. Carter froze, then grimaced the second Ridge walked away. A text from his wife, Daphne Rose Walton, landed next, asking to talk more about surrogacy later. Carter flashed back to waking up next to Steffy on the couch.

Steffy Forrester Says Finn Has to Know
Fans who caught Thursday’s first positive test knew Steffy was praying for a fluke. No such luck. She slammed in at Forrester, told Carter they needed to talk, and said she has to tell John ‘Finn’ Finnegan, now more than ever. Carter asked what changed, then spiraled into a warning. A confession, he swore, would tear apart their lives, with Daphne leaving him and Ridge hating him.
Steffy told him he was wrong. That upset stomach at dinner was never just an upset stomach, she said, and their night together is with them forever. Everyone is going to know. Then she blurted it out: “I’m pregnant.” Carter reeled, and for Steffy Forrester, keeping that night buried just got much harder.
Is Carter the Father of Steffy’s Baby on Bold and the Beautiful?
The show has not said who the father is. Steffy never named anyone on Friday, and nobody has run a paternity test on screen. What she did do was run to Carter first and tie the news to their night together, which tells you exactly where her own mind went. Reading between the lines, the writers want you suspecting Carter, but Finn is still her husband.
Here is the connection nobody is making. In the same episode Carter argued for silence, Katie Logan Spencer sat in the Forrester mansion taking the blame for the secret she had Will Spencer keep from Electra Forrester. Katie is owning the damage that secret did to her son’s love life. Carter is betting an even bigger secret can save his marriage, and Katie’s whole Friday is the warning he refuses to hear.
Katie Pushes Electra to Take Will Back
Katie didn’t stop at an apology. She told Electra to take some responsibility, arguing that Melissa ‘Miss’ Dylan only moved in because Electra walked out on Will more than once. Then she urged her to move back in, pleading, “Don’t give up on love. Don’t give up on Will.”
The two women spent the rest of the scene tearing into Dylan. Katie mentioned meeting Dylan’s mother, Darcy, and they wondered why Dylan would take help from Will but not from her own mom. Their verdict was that Dylan is manipulating him. Electra still wouldn’t budge, telling Katie she can never be with Will as long as he is seeing Dylan, and Katie fired back that she can’t let him get in any deeper.
Too late for that. At the beach house, Dylan admitted she ran into Electra at work and knows Will went over to say he still loves her. She told him she never meant to fall for him and offered him all the space he needs, but Will didn’t want space. After some teasing about who surfs better, Will praised her courage. Dylan vowed she would never walk out on him, a line aimed right at Electra, and he kissed her.
My gut tells me Katie’s matchmaking backfires. The harder she pushes Electra, the more Will leans on the one woman who promised to stay. Don’t be surprised if Monday picks up with Carter scrambling to keep Steffy away from Finn.

Carter’s Plan to Bury That Night Is Already Dead
Carter wants silence. Steffy wants Finn to know. Only one of them wins this fight, and my money is on Steffy Forrester, because she already said it out loud. That surrogacy text from Daphne only shrinks the corner Carter is hiding in.
