Bold and the Beautiful spoilers September 21 put Sheila Carter right back where she swore she would never stand again: across from Deacon Sharpe, talking about his love life. On Monday’s episode, the two exes reconnect, and Sheila goes straight for the soft spot. She brings up the proposal Taylor Hayes turned down, and she makes sure Deacon feels every inch of it.
In the preview, Sheila needles him about “the good doctor” turning him down. Deacon tries to play it cool. He is fooling nobody, least of all the woman who spent two years married to him.

How Taylor Handed Sheila the Knife
Rewind to August. Deacon proposed at the cliff house on August 11, and on August 12 Taylor turned him down. Her reasoning was cool and clinical: marriage is not necessary at their age, and it could cause problems for their kids. Deacon asked whether divorcing Sheila had been a mistake. Taylor told him the divorce still mattered, because she was not about to date a married man.
Here is the part nobody is connecting. Sheila Carter signed those divorce papers on July 9 and walked away so Deacon could be free. Taylor needed that divorce for her own comfort, then refused to marry the man it freed. From where Sheila sits, she surrendered her husband to a woman who does not even want the ring. That is the grievance she is selling, and it is a strong pitch.
She has already road-tested it. On August 26, Sheila Carter reminded Deacon that Taylor never had trouble walking down the aisle with Ridge Forrester. Deacon brushed it off, then told her, “There’s no one like you.” A man who says that to his ex-wife has left the door cracked open. We already watched that rejection leave Deacon wide open to a fresh face in town, and Sheila has noticed the draft.

Yes. Taylor rejected Deacon’s proposal on the August 12 episode, one day after he popped the question. She did not dump him, though. Wednesday’s Blowback Lands on Taylor
The fallout is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23. Taylor is set to learn that Sheila has been confiding in Deacon, and she is not pleased. Pay attention to that word, confiding. Sheila is not only mocking the proposal. She is leaning on Deacon with her own heartache, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan has given her plenty by refusing to let her near John “Finn” Finnegan or little Hayes.
Taylor has her own hands full. The same Monday Sheila goes to work on Deacon, Taylor has a warning for Finn, and she spent this week as his sounding board while his marriage wobbles. Don’t be surprised if Taylor realizes too late that she was guarding the wrong house.
Reading between the lines, Sheila Carter does not need Deacon to leave Taylor this week. She needs him to doubt. Every time he replays that no, Sheila wants to be the voice telling him he deserved better. A reunion is not confirmed. A reconnection and one very unhappy Taylor are.
My gut tells me the proposal story is far from finished. Circulating week-ahead chatter keeps Deacon squarely between two women who both think they know him best. One of them turned down his ring. The other gave up her marriage for his happiness. Guess which one is going to keep reminding him.
