Days of Our Lives spoilers September 24, 2026 hand Thursday to the DiMeras, and every beat is below. First, the story still hanging from Monday: Joy Wesley and a test. On Monday, Sarah Horton found no change in Joy’s reflexes, so she pushed for a nerve conduction study to pin down where the inflammation in her spine is coming from. Joy did not want it. She said she was tired of being poked and prodded, and she admitted she was scared.

Sarah told her about her own fight back from temporary paralysis. Then Alex Kiriakis walked in with their daughter, Kelsey, and asked Joy to take the test for the baby’s sake. One account of the episode says his push worked. Another leaves Joy still refusing when the scene ends. Either way, that test is waiting for her.

What happened next is the part Salem is whispering about. Alone in her room, Joy picked up her phone and looked the test up. Then she called her father, kept her condition from him, and asked him to send her muscle relaxants, after checking that nobody could overhear. He said yes.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What Joy Wesley Stands to Lose

Plenty. Before her spine surgery, Joy got Alex to sign an amended custody agreement on September 7. It keeps his wife, Stephanie Johnson, at least ten feet from Kelsey for a year, with a fresh look when the year is up. Stephanie walked away when Alex told her he had signed it.

Stephanie is also the only person who has said the quiet part out loud. On September 16 she asked her mother, Kayla Johnson, whether Joy could be faking. Kayla told her the missing spinal reflexes were involuntary and close to impossible to fake, and Stephanie backed off and regretted asking. That was the low point we saw coming in our preview of Stephanie’s talk with Kayla.

Stephanie asked with a custody clause hanging over her head and the night she fired her gun at Joy still following her around. She has no credibility left to spend.

Is Joy Wesley Really Paralyzed?

As far as anything on screen shows, Joy Wesley cannot feel or move her legs. Kayla said on September 9 that the paralysis could be temporary and caused by inflammation in her spine, and no doctor in Salem has said otherwise since. Joy’s trouble began with a spinal stenosis diagnosis in August, not an accident.

Here is what the Thursday chatter skips. In real life, a nerve conduction study sends a small electrical pulse that the examiner controls and measures how fast the nerve carries it, so it does not depend on the patient trying. Medical references also say those results are usually normal in spinal stenosis. If Joy is dreading what this test will show, the medicine says she may be dreading the wrong thing.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday Belongs to the DiMeras

No preview puts Joy in Thursday’s episode. The September 24 spoilers put EJ DiMera in a room with Cat Greene, questioning where her loyalty really lies. Belle Black opens up to Chad DiMera, one day after she learned Dante Vitali was Dominic Marino‘s roommate at boarding school. One preview says Chad agrees it is no coincidence. Paulina Price goes against the wishes of her daughters, Chanel DiMera and Lani Price.

Now for my gut. Her father has agreed to send the pills, the test is still hanging, and Stephanie has already been told once that she is wrong. The head writers teased this fall that Stephanie grows more suspicious, and that just as it seems Joy Wesley is about to get what she wants, Alex has a surprise for her.

Look at whose name is on that surprise. It is not Stephanie’s. Don’t be surprised if Alex turns out to be the one paying the closest attention. If I know these writers, the test and those pills are headed for the same scene, and whoever is standing in that hospital room when the results come back decides how this ends.
