Abby Spots the Smirk
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Sally Spectra‘s wedding start with a dinner that was supposed to be quiet. Abby Winters, back in town this week, finds Sally and Billy Abbott at Society, takes one look at the groom’s face and pounces: “You know already, don’t you?” She means the baby’s sex, and the bride-to-be has no easy way out.
That scene lands Thursday or Friday, and it is only the opening act. Friday, Oct 2 also brings two peace deals inside the wedding party, both waiting in this week’s Young and the Restless spoilers. The show’s executive producer, Sally McDonald, has already set the stakes for the ceremony itself: “Billy and Sally’s nuptials will be the wedding of the year, and you should expect the unexpected!”
Abby pushing for baby details is rich, considering. When Sally needed a new bridesmaid, she skipped right past Abby and chose Chelsea. Now Abby wants the one secret the couple has kept to themselves. Nobody on screen has said whether it is a boy or a girl, and Billy’s grin is doing all the talking.

The Bridesmaid Cold War Ends Friday
Chelsea’s promotion into the wedding party is what lit the fuse. On Sept 21, Sally Spectra asked Chelsea Lawson to take the bridesmaid spot Chloe had to give up. Two days later Audra Charles, Sally’s business partner, reminded her exactly who Chelsea used to be, con artist past and all. Sally held her ground and asked for peace.
On Friday she gets it. Chelsea and Audra call a truce for the bride’s sake. The same day, Adam Newman, Chelsea’s date and Sally’s ex, reaches an understanding with Sally. Adam already promised to behave himself at the ceremony, and Billy only agreed to tolerate him for Sally’s sake. We counted how many exes are headed to this wedding, and Adam is still the one who makes the groom sweat.
When is Sally and Billy’s wedding on Young and the Restless?
The show has only said October, with no air date yet. The guest list is loaded. Billy invited his mother, Jill Abbott, on Sept 24, and she agreed to come on one condition: nobody fights. By Monday, Billy was telling Cane that having Jill there makes a blowup nearly certain. Traci and Ashley will be front and center too, and the producer says the sisters hold very different opinions of the bride.
Sally’s side of the aisle fills up as well. Her grandmother Shirley and her sister Coco are headed to town for the wedding in October, with Coco played by a new face, Ashley Campbell.
The Scare Everyone Forgets
Here is what most wedding chatter skips. The only real health scare of this pregnancy aired on Sept 1, when Sally Spectra doubled over at the athletic club mid-argument, gasped “Something’s wrong!” and Billy called 911. It turned out to be stretching ligaments, and mother and baby were fine. Billy was shaken enough to drop his fight for Chancellor until after the birth.
That scare matters because the baby is not due until around January. Plenty of fans are betting on labor at the altar, but in October that would mean a baby arriving about three months early, which is an emergency, not a cute surprise. Sally lost her daughter Ava in 2023, and on Sept 18 Chelsea had to talk her through a panic attack as that grief came rushing back.
My gut tells me the writers know exactly how loaded that is. If Sally Spectra ends up in a hospital gown instead of a Gatsby gown, Adam, the man who stood beside her the last time, may be the one person she wants in the room. Don’t be surprised if Abby’s baby question pays off at the reception, with a reveal nobody planned.
