Rafe was married to Johnny’s mother, Sami Brady, when Johnny was a young boy, which makes him Johnny’s former stepfather. These days Rafe works for the FBI.

Johnny is not walking in with a vague case of the guilts. On Tuesday he told his sister, Sydney DiMera, that he had helped their father, EJ DiMera, cover up crimes and was struggling with the guilt. “I’ve gotta come clean. To the police,” he said, and he talked about coming forward with what he knows in the hope of some leniency. He said the police, then called a man who works for the FBI, and my gut says that was no accident.

Sydney Begged Johnny Not to Hurt Their Father

Sydney did not take it well. She pleaded with her brother not to hurt their father and urged him to let the FDA investigation play out instead. She even refused to hear the details, warning him she would be legally obligated to tell the truth. When your own sister would rather not know, you are holding something radioactive.

It all started at home, with an email about the wrongful death suit against Sarah Horton and the hospital. Johnny left EJ a voicemail begging him not to frame Sarah. That is what Johnny believes, not anything proven, and in a separate confrontation the same day, EJ said he did not need to create any evidence.

When Johnny DiMera got back home to his wife, Chanel DiMera, he told her he wanted to see her one last time before doing what he needs to do, and that he did not want her involved. Earlier that day he had promised to tell her everything once he sets things right, and Chanel said she trusts him. Before the episode ended, he called Rafe and asked to meet.

What Will Johnny DiMera Confess to Rafe on Days of Our Lives?

Nobody knows yet, because the preview only says he comes clean about everything. If I know these writers, Johnny DiMera starts with the mess he has carried since the summer. Back in July, Johnny did some of EJ’s dirty work, slipping into Sarah’s office to leave a medical book that pointed her toward arsenic. Last week he admitted EJ had gotten him involved in something that could destroy his life.

Here is the timing that jumps out. On Tuesday, Cat Greene told Rafe she had quit working for EJ, and Rafe was upset that she had lost her access to him. He even warned her that EJ can be vindictive. Three days later, EJ’s own son is ready to talk. That could be exactly the break Rafe needs, and it comes with a warning label.
