Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Sarah Horton Fears for Her Career as Xander Kiriakis Vows to Expose EJ DiMera
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Sarah Horton fears the accusation could haunt her career as Xander Kiriakis vows EJ DiMera won’t get away with it.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: XANDER STANDS BY SARAH HORTON AS EJ INSISTS SHE WAS NEGLIGENT
TL;DR: On Days of Our Lives, Sarah Horton fears Melinda Trask’s public malpractice accusation could follow her for the rest of her career. Xander Kiriakis has warned EJ DiMera he won’t get away with it, while EJ insists Sarah was negligent.
Sarah Fears the Accusation Will Follow Her
In the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers, Sarah Horton is fretting that the allegations against her could follow her for the rest of her career, even if she is cleared. On October 1, Melinda Trask, the attorney for the parents of Sarah’s late patient Destiny, publicly accused Sarah of negligence and medical malpractice. Sarah watched it at the Brady Pub with her ex-husband, Xander Kiriakis, and broke down crying, knowing the world would see her as a liar and a negligent doctor.
Xander has made sure EJ DiMera knows he is coming. At the DiMera mansion, he warned EJ, “You’re not going to get away with what you did to Sarah. In fact, that’s going to blow up in your face.” Two days earlier, he had told EJ to end the lawsuit and insisted the truth would come out regardless.
Can Sarah ever outrun this accusation, even if she is cleared? Tell Amber Sinclair at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we may share your answer.

EJ Insists Sarah Was Negligent
EJ is not giving an inch. When Xander confronted him on September 29, EJ countered that Destiny had died because of Sarah’s lack of care, and he insisted Sarah had been negligent. Xander accused him of manufacturing evidence, and EJ shot back that he did not need to create any.
EJ has also been on the phone with the woman leading the charge. On October 1, he ordered Melinda not to screw things up, and she assured him it was handled. Later, he gleefully watched her accuse Sarah on TV, popping party mix like it was movie night.
Did EJ DiMera Set Up Sarah Horton on Days of Our Lives?
Viewers have watched EJ’s people plan it, even if nobody can prove it yet. On September 23, George O’Halloran told EJ that he and Rita Lesley were already setting up Sarah Horton to look like she had only gone after DiMera Pharma to save her own skin. George promised that by the time the lawsuit ended, Sarah’s credibility would be destroyed and DiMera would walk away clean. EJ’s response was a warning: if the plan fell apart, George would take the fall.
Now connect the dots. That is the same Rita who, one day earlier, told Sarah she was the subject of the hospital’s own investigation into Destiny’s death and suggested she take a leave of absence. Kayla Johnson reminded Rita that the hospital review board had already found that Sarah followed proper protocol. Kayla also told Rita she knew EJ was retaliating because he believed Sarah had filed the FDA complaint against DiMera Pharma.
Proving any of it is the hard part. On September 25, Sarah spotted an asterisk on one of Destiny’s lab results, with a footnote saying Sarah had edited the results the day after Destiny died. Sarah insisted Destiny’s results never showed any abnormalities. Brady Black suggested running a cyber forensics analysis on the system to find out when the file was last changed and from which terminal.

Xander and Brady Both Want to Save Her
Sarah Horton is not short on defenders, but they are not exactly a team. On September 28 at the Brady Pub, Xander glared at Brady and said he had warned that Sarah would end up in EJ’s crosshairs. Brady accused him of taking over what was supposed to be a team effort, and Xander cracked that Brady’s PI career had not lasted very long.
Xander did apologize, insisting that nothing matters more to him than protecting the mother of his child. But he went stiff when Brady kissed Sarah on his way out. On October 1, Sarah told her mother in the square that Xander had been her rock. “And Brady, too,” she added as an afterthought.
Reading between the lines, that afterthought says plenty. Brady is the man Sarah is with now, but Xander is the one who stayed with her while Melinda’s accusation played. Don’t be surprised if Brady starts to feel like the third wheel.

EJ Shows No Sign of Backing Down
Heading into the week of October 5, the Salem chatter has Xander working to clear Sarah Horton’s name while EJ refuses to back down. My money is on Brady’s forensics idea, because if anyone other than Sarah touched that file, the system should say so.
Then there is Johnny DiMera. On September 29, he left his father a voicemail begging him not to frame Sarah, then called Rafe Hernandez. If what Johnny knows touches Sarah’s case, EJ could find out what it feels like to be the one accused.
Who will get to the truth first, Xander or Brady? Tell us in the comments.

Sarah Needs Proof, Not Promises
We are Team Sarah, and we think the proof is closer than EJ realizes. The hospital review board already found she followed proper protocol, and Brady’s forensics plan could show exactly where that footnote came from. What Sarah needs now is less sniping between Xander and Brady and more digging.
Can Xander and Brady clear Sarah before EJ’s plan does any more damage, or will the accusation stick no matter what? Come make your case on our Facebook page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sarah Horton going to lose her medical license on Days of Our Lives?
No license action has played out on screen. Sarah told Kayla she was worried she would lose her license, and Rita Lesley suggested she take a leave of absence during the hospital’s investigation. Kayla reminded Rita that the hospital review board had already determined Sarah followed proper protocol. So far, the license fear is Sarah’s own.
What is the wrongful death case against Sarah Horton about?
Sarah’s patient Destiny died in June 2026. Destiny’s parents are filing a wrongful death suit against Sarah and the hospital, and their attorney, Melinda Trask, publicly accused Sarah of negligence and medical malpractice on October 1. Separately, a footnote in Destiny’s file says Sarah edited Destiny’s results the day after Destiny died. Sarah insists the results never showed any abnormalities.
