The Young and the Restless
Young and the Restless Recap October 2, 2026: Audra Charles and Chelsea Lawson Turn Wedding Planning Into a Blood Sport
This Young and the Restless Recap catches Audra and Chelsea’s wedding feud, Victoria’s breakdown over Nick, and his bloody knuckles.
THIS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP HAS AUDRA DRAWING LINES
TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap catches Audra Charles and Chelsea Lawson clashing hard over old wounds at the GCAC, Victoria Newman unraveling after a brutal nightmare about her secret, and Nick Newman spinning a story about bloody knuckles that nobody in his family fully believes.

Audra and Chelsea Draw Blood
Earlier at Crimson Lights, Audra Charles bumped into Kyle Abbott and couldn’t resist taking a few shots at him, visibly thrown when none of it seemed to land. He shrugged it off, claiming he’s never felt more settled, then strolled away before she could dig any deeper into what’s clearly rattling her.
On Young and the Restless, her mood hadn’t improved by the time she reached the GCAC, where Chelsea Lawson and Sally Spectra were already deep in easy wedding chatter. Audra swept in to reassert her claim as official bachelorette coordinator, and when Pietro called Sally away to handle planning logistics, Chelsea made the mistake of gushing about how thrilling the whole thing was. Audra handed over her contact information on the spot and immediately demanded every idea funnel through her first, no exceptions, no end-runs to Sally.
Chelsea pushed back, asking flat out what Audra actually has against her, and got a withering one-liner in response: was that even a serious question? Chelsea conceded her own track record isn’t spotless but questioned whether Audra could claim the moral high ground either, accusing her of straight-up jealousy. Audra wasn’t having it, reminding Chelsea in vivid detail of everything she once put Sally through and suggesting her pregnancy hormones must be scrambling her memory, since gratitude for even being included in this wedding would be the bare minimum. Chelsea said she’d undo the damage if she could, and Audra made it clear a grudge this satisfying isn’t fading anytime soon.
Sally returned mid-standoff asking what she’d missed, and Audra waved it off as standard bachelorette chatter. Chelsea pivoted hard, floating a tailor-made clutch for Sally, which Audra approved on the condition it avoided anything resembling “Granny chic.” Chelsea layered on a little praise about how gracious Audra’s been through all this, and Sally, blissfully unaware of the knives that had recently been drawn and sheathed, grabbed both their hands in a group squeeze of gratitude. Peace, for now, held together by a handbag.

Victoria Breaks Down Over Nick
At the danger zone, Victoria dozed off and landed in a nightmare where Victor Newman pounded on the door, disgusted that she’d rather hide out with an Abbott than show up for her struggling brother. She jolted awake to find Kyle standing there instead, bewildered that she’d crashed the entire night without meaning to. The instant he reached toward her, she sprang up and announced she had to go, clearly rattled by something he couldn’t yet name.
Kyle refused to let her dodge the conversation, and eventually Victoria caved, confessing how scared she genuinely is. She walked him through everything unfolding around Nick and Marie, admitting this particular dread feels completely unlike anything she’s ever carried about her mother’s struggles. Kyle, in turn, opened up about growing up alongside a parent battling the same disease, noting how much distance time has put between him and that chapter, and offered his honest read on Nick: tough, resilient, built for exactly this kind of fight. His advice was simple: stop trying to solve the whole future at once.
Victoria wasn’t fully reassured. She painted a picture of someone unrecognizable, a man who torched everything he’d built over a handful of pills and now has nowhere safe to put that rage. Kyle pushed back gently, arguing it isn’t as cut and dried as she’s making it. Her fear kept building anyway, the sense that wherever Nick has mentally gone is somewhere she can’t follow, and it finally cracked her open into tears over the real possibility of losing him. He couldn’t offer any guarantees about what comes next, but reminded her that Nick is clever and deeply loved, and that Victoria’s own faith in him might matter more right now than anything else.

Nick’s Story Doesn’t Quite Add Up
Back at the ranch, Nick walked in bracing for exactly the reaction he got, well aware he’s become the one relative everyone watches for warning signs. Nikki’s relief at seeing him was immediate, and the two circled the familiar territory of relapse fears before Victor joined in and got a direct assurance that nothing had slipped.
The calm didn’t last. Adam showed up asking if Nick had squared things with the authorities, revealing that a detective had been actively trying to reach him. Victor demanded context, and right on cue, patrol cars rolled up outside, prompting Victor to instruct the household to deny Nick was anywhere on the property.
Cornered, Nick finally laid it out: he’d arranged a sit-down with his old supplier and tipped off law enforcement beforehand, though the encounter went sideways fast. His bruised hand told the rest of the story before he did. He claimed he’d strong-armed a confession out of the man, who admitted dealing straight to Marie, then watched him bolt, with Nick close behind. Victor wasn’t buying the clean version, convinced letting the guy simply walk off didn’t track at all.
He had a point. Later, over at the coffeehouse, Nick sat across from the detective and stuck to the same script, insisting he’d tried to stop the man from leaving. He was told the department would take it from there, with a pointed reminder not to handle anything solo. The second that conversation ended, Nick’s thoughts snapped somewhere much darker: a memory of landing blow after blow on the man in an alley until he stopped moving. Professional handling, indeed.
