This Man Has Never Gone Without a Backup Plan
Bill Hamilton has not been a single man in decades, and it shows. He spent more than 20 years married to Dani Dupree, and he treated his wedding vows like a rough draft the entire time. A long line of other women came and went through those years. When he finally walked out on Dani, he didn’t leave for himself. He left for Hayley Lawson.
The upgrade nearly killed him. Hayley poisoned her husband, got caught, and is now out on bail, and Bill Hamilton is in the process of filing for divorce. For a man who has always had a wife at home and a woman on the side, that leaves him with neither.
Bill showed exactly who he is the moment he got scared. Convinced he was dying, Bill Hamilton turned up on Dani’s doorstep, the same woman he traded in years ago. Some men call a doctor. Bill calls an ex.

Door Number One: Crawling Back to Dani
Bill has never accepted that Dani moved on, and he keeps knocking on the door to prove it. The trouble is that Dani is happily wrapped up in Andre Richardson and has been deleting Bill’s texts without reading them. Eight unread messages are not a mixed signal.
Still, soap writers love a first wife. Twenty years of shared memories, two daughters, and a house full of history give Bill a lot of material to work with. Could a sick, humbled Bill Hamilton be the one version of him Dani has never seen? Andre should keep an eye on the front porch.
Door Number Two: Every Bar Stool in Fairmont Crest
The other option is the one Bill knows best. A man who cheated through a 20-year marriage is not going to sit home knitting now that he has no one to cheat on. A freshly single Bill with a law firm, a reputation and a wounded ego could work his way through the town’s eligible women by Thanksgiving.
There’s a catch. The last younger woman he chased turned out to be lacing his food and drink, and that kind of lesson is hard to forget. Can Bill still flirt when every glass of wine comes with a side of suspicion? Somebody at that bar is about to find out.
Door Number Three: A Little Self-Reflection
Here’s the long shot. Bill could sit with his choices, look at the wreckage, and take some honest stock of how he got here. Two marriages, one poisoning, and a medical scare would humble most men.
Bill is not most men. He is a criminal defense attorney who wins by talking, and a man like that rarely goes quiet long enough to learn anything. If he manages a month without a woman on his arm, Fairmont Crest should throw a parade.

Now for the twist nobody saw coming. Caroline Lee has worked for Bill since 2016, and she knows his calendar and his moods better than anyone in that office. She was the one who called 911 when he collapsed at the office, and he continues to count on her.
Here’s the deliciously messy part: Caroline was Hayley’s best friend and her maid of honor when she married Bill. Could Bill Hamilton really make wife number two’s maid of honor wife number three? On this show, the receptionist answering the phones might end up taking his last name.
