Daphne Learns She Was Left Out
The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 5 belongs to a woman sobbing over the wrong secret. Daphne Rose Walton stood in a Forrester office and asked, “You went ahead with the procedure? You’re officially our surrogate.” Carter Walton did all the talking. The implantation was done, he said, the timing couldn’t wait, and if it takes, Steffy will soon be carrying their child.
Daphne kept looking to Steffy Forrester Finnegan for an answer, and Carter kept talking over her. When Steffy finally spoke, she backed him up: “Yes. We went ahead with the surrogacy procedure.” Carter set this up on Friday, when he announced the implantation before Steffy could say a word, and our B&B spoilers for the next two weeks say Daphne is far from done asking questions.
Then came the tears. Daphne praised Steffy as extraordinary and a truly great friend, and Steffy answered, “No, I’m not.” Daphne said she wants a marriage like Steffy’s, built on absolute trust, and then she broke. “My husband and my best friend!” she cried, unable to understand how the two of them could keep something this big from her.

Daphne Rose Walton Is Crying Over the Wrong Secret
Here is what makes this scene so cruel. Daphne thinks the betrayal is that nobody told her before the appointment. She has no idea Steffy was already pregnant before any procedure, or that Steffy believes Carter is the father. The secret that would truly break her heart never came up.
Reading between the lines, “No, I’m not” was as close to a confession as Steffy could get with Carter in the room. Our earlier spoilers had Daphne questioning why she was left in the dark, and now that question has teeth. If Daphne Rose Walton starts pulling the timeline apart, Carter’s story has nowhere to hide.
Does Electra Forrester Still Love Will Spencer?
Yes, and she said it out loud. Electra Forrester shut the door on Melissa “Miss” Dylan in the design office and admitted she may have overreacted when Will Spencer kept a business secret from her. Too many people meddled in her relationship, she said. Then she dropped it: she still loves Will, and she knows he still loves her too.
Dylan apologized for the tension, but she didn’t back down for long. Later she reminded Electra that she told Will it was over and never wanted him again, and asked how Electra could choose everyone else over him. “I was there because you weren’t and because I love him,” Dylan said. “I didn’t walk out and I never will.”
Now the twist nobody in that office knows. Across town, Will admitted to his half brother Wyatt Spencer that he still cares for Electra. Wyatt cracked that he’s not the first Spencer man caught between two beautiful women. Electra believes Will still loves her, Dylan believes she is the one who stayed, and Will just told his brother both women matter to him. That is a lot of heat for a girlfriend whose job was already on the line with Electra.
Wyatt Likes Katie’s Loyalty Test
Will told Wyatt that Katie Logan Spencer is making Dylan prove her loyalty to the Spencers by getting Zende over to Logan. Wyatt, of all people, liked it. He called it a good idea to see whether the young woman can handle a family that wants to win at all costs. Will shot back that Wyatt was sounding like their old man, and said using his relationship this way isn’t right and he won’t stand for it.
Katie Tells Zende Logan Needs Him
At Logan, Zende Forrester Dominguez was still smarting over the way Hope Logan Spencer left Forrester and let him find out in public. How could he trust her again? Hope got emotional and said the secrecy was the only way to keep Forrester from sabotaging the move. “I am sorry that I hurt you,” she told him.
Katie argued that Forrester failed Hope and that their line ran on Steffy’s whims, then asked if Zende would rather take orders from RJ. Hope misses working with him, she said. “We need you.” If I know these writers, Zende makes them sweat before he gives anyone an answer.
