DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: BRADY BLACK HOLDS KRISTEN’S EMERGENCY LINE WHILE RACHEL CRIES FOR HER MOM

TL;DR: On Days of Our Lives Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Brady Black is forced to make a difficult call while Rachel begs for Kristen, Sarah and Tate threaten Joy’s plans, and EJ confronts Rita. Friday, Kristen finds Sophia alive in Kentucky.

Brady Faces a Difficult Call as Rachel Begs for Her Mom

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, October 7, 2026 say Brady Black is forced to make a difficult call. The spoilers do not say what the call is, but Tuesday’s episode did. Rachel Black put on the bracelet her mother sent, complained of a stomachache, and came home from school worse. When Brady asked what would make her feel better, she gave him three words: “I want mom.”

Her mom is Kristen DiMera, and Kristen has been gone since August 6. Before she disappeared to stay out of EJ DiMera‘s reach, she handed Brady a way to get a message to her if there was ever an emergency with Rachel. That is the call I see on Wednesday’s grid. Nothing in the spoilers confirms Brady dials it, only that a father is backed into a decision by a daughter who will not settle for anyone else.

Should Brady use Kristen’s emergency line for Rachel? Tell Amber Sinclair at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we may share your answer.

Nobody Has Named What Is Wrong With Rachel

The chatter has run ahead of the show, so here are the facts. Tuesday gave us a stomachache, no fever, a math test Rachel was nervous about, and a reminder from Brady that she gets stomachaches when she is anxious. The week’s own preview goes further and shows Rachel in a hospital bed, in pain, while Brady promises that Sarah Horton will take good care of her. Rachel’s answer in that clip is “No, I want mom.”

The preview does not say which day the hospital scene lands, and the show has not offered a diagnosis, so neither will we. Rachel has had a brutal year: Bayview, a friend she was told had died, a mother who left in disguise. My gut says the pain is real and the ache under it is the empty chair, whatever the fan chatter says about a medical emergency.

Does Brady Call Kristen on Days of Our Lives?

Not on screen, not yet. The only thing in writing is that Brady Black is forced to make a difficult call on Wednesday, and even the trusted previews stop at asking whether he knows how to reach Kristen. The emergency line is real, and I would not bet against it going off this week. But Rachel’s hospital plea is where the confirmed story ends.

Here is the cruel twist. Kristen is not sitting by a phone. On Friday, October 9, she turns up at Kay’s Diner in Paducah, Kentucky, and finds Sophia Choi alive, waiting tables under the name Amelia. On screen Sophia is still presumed dead, and Kristen is the reason: she struck Sophia with a rock in May, had her thrown in the Salem River, and dressed it up as a suicide.

Whether Sophia even recognizes the woman who tried to kill her is a question the previews leave open. They do say Sophia looks as angry as ever and Kristen is furious. So if Brady Black does make that call, don’t be surprised if it rings in a Kentucky diner at the worst possible moment.

Sarah and Tate Threaten Joy’s Plans

Joy Wesley has a Wednesday problem of her own. Spoilers say Sarah and Tate Black threaten her plans, and one preview spells it out: Sarah suggests Joy work with Tate to get her muscles moving again. On Monday she talked her way into Alex Kiriakis‘s guest room with baby Kelsey, Stephanie Johnson rolled her eyes before she nodded yes, and Alex called it very temporary.

We have seen Joy hop out of her hospital bed when nobody was watching, swallow her father’s muscle relaxers before her nerve test, and hide the pills from Kate. She is hiding that she can move her legs, and a therapist named Tate is a threat to that secret. Friday brings Kayla Johnson‘s discharge instructions, which Joy will not like, and the previews tease Stephanie about to walk in on Joy standing over Kelsey’s crib, with no day attached.

EJ Confronts Rita, and the Week Tightens

Wednesday also has EJ confronting Rita Lesley about the Dominic Marino mystery. What Rita tells him, the spoilers do not say. Put it together and Brady Black has a decision he cannot dodge, Joy has a therapist she cannot refuse, and EJ has a loyal employee he can no longer read. Reading between the lines, the writers are winding every spring before Friday, when Kristen opens that diner menu.

Does Brady make the call, and does Kristen pick up? Tell us in the comments.

Brady Should Make That Call, and Kristen Should Pick Up

Brady can promise the best doctors in Salem. It will not matter. Rachel is a scared kid asking for her mother, and Brady is holding the one number that reaches her. Keeping it in his pocket to shield Kristen is noble, but Rachel pays for it.

Team Make the Call says a daughter in pain beats every risk. Team Hold the Line says Kristen vanished for a reason and one ring could put everyone in danger. We are Team Make the Call, and we think Kristen is too busy in Kentucky to answer. Come argue with us on our Facebook page.
