Days Of Our Lives
Is Joy Wesley Leaving Days of Our Lives?
Is Joy leaving Days of Our Lives? No exit is announced for Joy Wesley, but Johnny and Chanel’s exits loom and Kristen DiMera faces a break.
JOY WESLEY ISN’T PACKING A BAG, BUT KRISTEN DIMERA’S CLOCK IS TICKING
TL;DR: No exit has been announced for Joy Wesley on Days of Our Lives. Johnny and Chanel’s exits were announced in January with no air date, and Stacy Haiduk says her Kristen episodes run until about November.
Nobody Has Announced an Exit for Joy
Is Joy leaving Days of Our Lives? No. Joy Wesley has no exit date, no farewell storyline and no casting news behind her, and nothing in the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers has her packing a bag. AlexAnn Hopkins is staying put. The bigger exit news belongs to Kristen DiMera.
Stacy Haiduk told the soap press in March that the show gave Kristen a rest when it taped in January, and that because of the long taping lead she is “airing pretty much all the way up until I think November.” That is a break, not a funeral. Kristen is back on screen this Friday, October 9, and she is about to find somebody very much alive.
Joy Wesley, meanwhile, is going home. In Wednesday’s episode, Sarah Horton got her discharge under way and showed her how to handle the wheelchair, and Tate Black laid out a plan to help with it while a physical therapist works on her legs. Our daily recaps caught the final scene: Joy putting on her makeup and wiggling her feet as she confirmed that Alex Kiriakis would pick her up that afternoon.

Johnny and Chanel Are the Goodbyes Already on the Books
If you want a real exit, look at the DiMera apartment. Carson Boatman and Raven Bowens were let go back in January, along with Ashley Puzemis, who plays Holly Jonas, and Leo Howard, who plays Tate. The show warned at the time that the changes would not reach the screen for a while, and casting reports pointed to late 2026 or early 2027. Nobody has named an air date since, and nobody has said how Johnny DiMera and Chanel DiMera go.
Their story is moving fast, though. On October 5, Johnny went to Salem’s DA and police commissioner with a statement about the Coriseal contamination and the cover-up that followed, and his lawyer walked out over it. On Thursday, Chanel asks Johnny for a promise. With baby Olivia born in August, every move Johnny makes now puts a whole family on the line.
Some of the Salem exit chatter has the couple heading to Italy, which is talk, not a spoiler. Don’t be surprised if the promise Chanel wants turns out to be the first step out the door.
Is Kristen DiMera Leaving Days of Our Lives?
Not for good, as far as anyone has said, but her clock is running. Haiduk explained in March that the show rested Kristen and Susan when it taped in January, and she has since gone back to playing Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless. Her own estimate is that her episodes run until about November. That reads as a clock with the door left open, not proof she is staying.
Before that clock runs out, Kristen gets one of her biggest scenes of the year. She left Salem in August, saying goodbye to her daughter, Rachel Black, in disguise and telling Rachel’s father, Brady Black, that she had to disappear. On Friday, she turns up at a diner in Paducah, Kentucky and finds Sophia Choi alive. If I know these writers, that is not a scene you waste on a character who is about to vanish.

Stephanie Johnson Is Staying Too
The other name fans keep typing is Stephanie Johnson, and the answer matches Joy’s. No exit has been announced for Abigail Klein. Fans are reading the marriage, not casting news. Stephanie moved out of the apartment in August without leaving Alex, and now Joy Wesley is moving in under his roof with Kelsey.
On Friday, Stephanie and Alex steal a private moment, and a preview has Stephanie hearing Kelsey cry and letting herself into the apartment. My gut says that door is where Joy’s secret gets into real trouble, which is a far juicier story than anybody leaving.
Holly, Tate and Jada Round Out the List
Holly and Tate are on the same January list as Johnny and Chanel, and Puzemis said in February that she had wrapped as Holly. Neither has an air date. Jada Hunter is the newest name: Elia Cantu announced her exit in June, and Jada is expected on screen well into 2027.
So when somebody tells you Joy Wesley’s story ends this month, ask them for the casting news. There isn’t any. The next real goodbye in Salem looks a lot more likely to belong to a DiMera.

Kristen’s Clock Is the Exit Story Salem Should Be Watching
Our take: Joy is the name everybody types and the one character with no goodbye in sight. The real drama sits on the DiMera side of town, where Johnny and Chanel are living on borrowed time and Kristen is racing a taping schedule.
So pick your side. Team Kristen says she grabs one last win before her break. Team Johnny says his family’s exit lands first and hits hardest. We are Team Kristen. Tell us who leaves Salem first on our Facebook page.
