DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: JOY WESLEY IS UNDER ALEX’S ROOF, AND THE WALLS ARE CLOSING IN

TL;DR: On Days of Our Lives, Joy Wesley talks her way into Alex’s guest room, Sarah and Tate threaten her plans on Wednesday, and a preview has Stephanie about to walk in on her standing. No exit has been announced.

Joy’s Hiding Place Is Getting Crowded

The latest Days of Our Lives spoilers say Joy Wesley‘s secret is running out of room. On Wednesday, October 7, Sarah Horton and Tate Black threaten Joy’s plans, and on Friday she is not happy with the discharge instructions Kayla Johnson hands her. Then comes the scene a preview is already teasing. Once Joy is out of the hospital, Stephanie Johnson is about to walk in on her standing up and checking on Kelsey.

That is the moment fans have waited weeks for, and it explains the fan posts insisting Joy’s story ends in October. Here is the reality check. No exit has been announced for AlexAnn Hopkins, and no spoiler has Joy caught on a hidden camera, running from Salem or facing jail. Those details are chatter, not anything on the show’s slate. What the spoilers do promise is a woman whose cover story is wearing thin.

Is Joy’s story really ending, or just getting started? Tell Amber Sinclair at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we may share your answer.

What Joy Has Done When Nobody Was Looking

Joy has said she can’t feel her legs since her spinal surgery in September. Then on September 28, alone in her hospital room, she threw her phone to the floor in frustration, hopped out of bed to grab it and slipped back under the covers before anyone came in. A week earlier, she had asked her father to mail her the muscle relaxers she once used after an old cheerleading injury.

On October 1, the pills arrived, and Joy took some before her nerve conduction test. Kayla told her the results were abnormal. When Kayla noticed how groggy she was, Joy blamed a bad night’s sleep. The test said one thing, and that hospital bed on September 28 said another.

Is Joy Wesley Leaving Days of Our Lives?

Not according to anything announced so far. The only time Joy left town was in 2025, when she slipped out of Salem pregnant with the baby who turned out to be Alex’s daughter. She came back in 2026, and the show has given no exit date since. If the writers were wrapping Joy up this month, the spoilers would have to move fast. Right now they have her moving in, not moving out.

And moving in is the whole point. On October 5, Joy hid her pill bottle from Kate Roberts and told her she was about to be discharged with nowhere to go, since rehab places won’t let her bring Kelsey. Then she asked Alex Kiriakis if she could stay in his guest room. Stephanie, Alex’s wife, rolled her eyes and then nodded. Alex said yes and made it clear the stay was very temporary, but alone with Kelsey’s photo, Joy promised her daughter it would not be temporary at all.

Joy Wesley Has Picked the Riskiest Address in Salem

Think about where Joy is headed. She will be living under the same roof as the woman she has spent months boxing out, and Stephanie has already watched Alex keep her away from Kelsey to protect the custody deal. Every step Joy takes in that apartment is a step somebody could hear.

Some of the fan chatter has Alex setting a trap for Joy, and plenty of viewers want him to be the one who catches her. My gut says Stephanie gets there first. She is the one who has doubted Joy all along, and the preview puts her at the door. If I know these writers, though, Joy Wesley will have a story ready the second that door opens.

Sarah and Tate Could Be the Real Threat

Don’t sleep on Wednesday. Sarah was the doctor who first suggested a nerve conduction test, and Joy shot her down, saying she was tired of being poked and prodded. Now Sarah and Tate throw her plans into jeopardy, and the spoilers aren’t saying how. Kayla’s discharge orders on Friday only box her in tighter.

So is Joy’s story really ending in October? Nothing on the slate says so. What we can promise is that Joy Wesley’s cover story has never looked shakier, and the people closest to Kelsey are finally paying attention.

Joy’s Days of Hiding Are Numbered, Not Her Days in Salem

Our take: the exit posts are getting ahead of the show. Joy is not packing a bag. She is unpacking one in Alex’s guest room, and that is far more dangerous for everyone in that apartment, Kelsey included.

So pick your side. Team Stephanie says she catches Joy on her feet and ends this for good. Team Alex says it has to be Kelsey’s father who finally sees the truth. We are Team Stephanie. Tell us who catches Joy first on our Facebook page.
