The Young and the Restless
STOP THE VOWS! Y&R’s Nick Newman Is About to Crash Sally Spectra’s Wedding High, Loud, and Impossible to Ignore!
Nick Newman has pills, bruised knuckles, and history with Sally Spectra, and a high entrance at her Young and the Restless wedding is brewing.
HIGH NICK NEWMAN COULD TURN SALLY’S WEDDING INTO HIS STAGE
TL;DR: Y&R’s Nick Newman has a pocketful of pills and bruised knuckles, Sally Spectra is about to marry Billy Abbott, and a high Nick carrying old feelings could turn the ceremony into his personal stage.

Nick Is One Bad Day Away From Using Again
Nick Newman insists he’s still clean, and he even admits he knows he’s the guy everyone thinks could lose it any second. His story keeps getting harder to believe. He set up a meeting with the dealer who sold to Marie Kirkland, made the man admit it, and then beat him unconscious in an alley. He emptied the dealer’s pockets, left him there, and later returned to Crimson Lights with a pocketful of pills.
Joe, the dealer, hasn’t been seen since, the police are still looking for answers, and Adam Newman has said out loud that he hopes his brother didn’t leave a body in a ditch. Adam also suspects Nick is chasing a different kind of high. Nikki Newman and Sharon Newman are terrified he’s using again, and Victoria Newman says her brother put his whole life on the line for pills. Victor Newman ordered the cops told that his son wasn’t home, then told Adam they need to bring Nick home before something more serious happens.
Nick has also been refusing to attend meetings, according to Nikki. When Sharon suggested he go back to rehab, Phyllis Summers shot it down, said he didn’t need it, and insisted she and Sharon could handle him. Nick, feeling ambushed by his exes, decided to leave.

Sally Spectra And Nick Have History, And High Nick Might Use It
Nick Newman and Sally Spectra dated once, and Sally is about to marry Billy Abbott. A sober Nick would clap politely. A high Nick, loaded with old feelings and bad vibes, could be the wrecking ball of this wedding. Sally has already had a Braxton-Hicks scare at her bachelorette party and flashbacks to losing her last baby, so the last thing she needs is a high ex at the altar.
An Altar Is The Perfect Stage
Picture the ceremony. The officiant asks if anyone objects, the doors bang open, and in walks a glassy-eyed Nick Newman with a speech nobody requested. A wedding puts everyone in one room and makes them listen.
The crowd is already tense. Adam is coming to the wedding, and Billy and Adam needed Audra Charles to lecture them into civility. Jack and the Abbott men had to stop Billy from driving because he was drunk. Add a high Newman and it takes only a single spark: a comment from Adam, a toast gone sideways, or a look at the bride.

Jack Abbott Has Already Offered To Help
Jack Abbott is Billy’s brother, and Phyllis reminded Nick that she helped Jack kick addiction. Nikki asked Jack to get through to her son, and Jack has already offered his help. He told her the next step has to come from Nick.
That is the catch. Jack can offer a hand, but Nick has to take it. Whether Nick Newman lets anyone get close enough before the wedding is another story.

Bring Popcorn To The Altar
