Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 12: Zende Forrester Dominguez Stays as Ridge Fires Dylan
Bold and the Beautiful recap October 12: Zende Forrester Dominguez turns down Logan to stay at Forrester, then Ridge fires Dylan anyway.
ZENDE FORRESTER DOMINGUEZ CHOOSES FORRESTER, AND DYLAN PAYS FOR IT
TL;DR: Zende Forrester Dominguez let Eric talk him out of leaving and turned down Logan. Then Electra and RJ demanded Dylan go, and Ridge fired her right in front of Zende.
Eric Talks Zende Out of Leaving
The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 12 starts with a grandfather’s plea and ends with a pink slip. Eric Forrester got Zende Forrester Dominguez alone, reminded him he is a real Forrester, and drew a line in the sand: “Don’t let Katie take another member of our family away from this company.” Zende cried as Eric told him he loves being his grandfather and begged him to stay and take the company into the future.
“You can’t leave. I need you,” Eric said. He swore Zende’s ideas would be heard and used, and that he would make it clear to Ridge that Zende is lead designer of the new line. Zende nodded, said “OK,” and the two embraced. Eric did warn him he would have to help pull Forrester out of its dire money troubles.
On Friday, Zende gave his notice and told Ridge and Eric he was going to work with Hope at Logan. Monday he called Logan, and after an unnerving silence on speakerphone, told Katie and Hope the offer was flattering but he is sticking with his family because his grandfather is backing him. Our Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the next two weeks had him rethinking the move, and he did.

Electra and RJ Gang Up on Dylan
Down the hall, Electra Forrester cut Melissa “Miss” Dylan off before she could finish a sentence. It was past time she left Forrester, Electra said, “And never come back.” Dylan insisted she never suggested Zende leave. Electra figured she was only sorry she got caught, and said she never trusted her after she slithered her way into Will’s life.
Meanwhile, Ridge Forrester filled in RJ Forrester on Katie trying to poach Zende, and learned Electra was the one who exposed Dylan. RJ guessed Dylan was trying to help her boyfriend. “Or his mother,” Ridge grunted. RJ then joined Electra in the design office, agreed Dylan should not work there anymore, and that is when Zende walked in and told them she is not going anywhere.
Did Ridge Fire Dylan on Bold and the Beautiful?
Yes, and he did it with Zende standing right there. Electra and RJ stormed into the main office, where Ridge and Eric were busy trashing Katie, and demanded Dylan be let go, with Zende and Dylan right behind them. Electra said Dylan’s loyalty is to Logan, not Forrester, and that she tampered with an employee. Zende said they were misrepresenting things and that Dylan only relayed a message, and when Electra ranted that Dylan has no morals, he sneered, “Keep your love life out of this.”
Ridge wasn’t moved. He said they are at war with Katie and Hope and Dylan knew it, so at best this was very poor judgment and at worst a betrayal of the family who gave her a place to land. He pointed at her: “Pack your stuff. You’re fired.” Dylan teared up, Electra grinned, and Zende Forrester Dominguez fumed.
Here is the part that should worry Eric. He told Ridge he promised Zende his opinions would matter and his decisions would be followed, and within the same episode Ridge overruled him on the one thing he asked for. Electra has wanted Dylan out of Forrester for weeks, and she got it. Zende Forrester Dominguez now has the leverage to fight back, which is exactly where his ultimatum and that “Dylan stays” preview line come in.
Logan Loses Its Shot at Zende
Over at Logan, Hope Logan Spencer and Katie Logan Spencer were stressing over the call that never came. Deke Sharpe admitted a little help wouldn’t hurt, especially if it is Zende. Will Spencer agreed Zende gets taken advantage of at Forrester, and said if he came over, they would have Dylan to thank.
After the phone call, Will sighed that they were foolish to think Zende would ever leave. Deke said it sucks and promised to do his best. Hope reassured him, but Katie stayed skeptical, sure that Zende will keep getting overshadowed by Brooke and Ridge’s golden child.

Eric’s Promise to Zende Lasted One Episode
Eric begged, Zende believed him, and Ridge fired the one person Zende went to bat for before the credits rolled. Zende Forrester Dominguez stayed because he was told his voice would count, and the first time he used it, nobody listened.
My gut tells me Katie is right to stay skeptical, and that Logan’s door is not as closed as Will thinks. Was Ridge right to fire Dylan, or did he just push Zende halfway back out the door? Tell us over on our Facebook page.
QUICK ANSWERS
Why did Zende stay at Forrester on Bold and the Beautiful? On October 12, Eric got Zende alone, told him he is a real Forrester and begged, “You can’t leave. I need you.” Eric promised his ideas would be heard and that Ridge would know Zende is lead designer of the new line. Zende then told Katie and Hope he is sticking with his family.
What happens to Dylan after Ridge fired her? Ridge fired Dylan on October 12 and told her to pack her things. Zende fumed and wanted her kept on.
