Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 9: Zende Forrester Dominguez Erupts Over RJ and Gives Notice

ZENDE FORRESTER DOMINGUEZ GIVES NOTICE AND CHOOSES HOPE AT LOGAN

TL;DR: Zende Forrester Dominguez accused Ridge of handing RJ a line in record time, then gave his notice and said he is going to work with Hope at Logan. Eric refused to accept it, and Electra told Dylan her job is next.

Zende Says Goodbye to Forrester

The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 9 is the day Forrester lost the fight it thought it had already won. Zende Forrester Dominguez stood in front of Ridge Forrester and Eric Forrester, told them he loves them, and gave his notice anyway: “I’m going to work with Hope at Logan.” Eric wouldn’t hear it (“You’re not going anywhere, son”) and then dropped the bluster and begged, “Please, don’t leave us.”

It took a brawl to get there. Ridge asked if Zende understood how lucky he is. Zende said he knows his luck and should be higher up by now. “You’re young, you have plenty of time,” Eric told him, and Ridge added, “It takes years.” Zende shot back that RJ Forrester didn’t need years, and asked if they had any idea how disrespected he feels.

On Thursday, Electra overheard Zende thank Dylan for getting him to Logan and ran straight to Eric and Ridge. Our B&B spoilers for the next two weeks had Zende on the spot Friday. He didn’t squirm. He walked.

The RJ Line Finally Blows Up

Earlier, Zende told Dylan that leaving his “home” would be hard, but he misses Hope and Hope for the Future. Then Ridge summoned him. Ridge and Eric confronted Zende Forrester Dominguez about a possible reunion with Hope and said they knew Logan had offered him a job.

Zende said Hope had been trying to reach him and that he went to tell her how betrayed he felt. “That’s not the only thing you talked about, is it?” Ridge asked. Zende admitted he hasn’t been happy there. Ridge called a move to Logan a huge mistake, and Eric gave a speech about family and said Zende belongs at Forrester.

Then Zende said favoritism is rampant there, and Ridge asked, “Are you talking about my son?” Zende snapped: “RJ comes back from his shallow influencer life, and you gift him a line in record time.” Ridge denied gifting anyone anything and yelled about Katie using him, and Zende defended her. “Going with the Spencers?” Ridge asked.

Is Zende Leaving Forrester on Bold and the Beautiful?

He says he is: Zende Forrester Dominguez gave his notice Friday and said he is going to work with Hope at Logan, and the episode ended on Eric’s plea, not a yes. That stings, because Zende has been saying this for two weeks: on September 28 he told Ridge, “You killed the line that I love!” and on September 30 he called the Electra line a demotion that left him “taking orders from R.J.”

Both times Ridge answered with family and a promise of a career at Forrester. Friday was the first time Zende said out loud what he thinks that promise is worth next to RJ’s line. It was heading here ever since Hope and Katie laid out their Logan pitch and Zende walked into Logan on his own.

Electra Tells Dylan Her Time Is Up

The episode opened with Electra Forrester telling Eric and Ridge that Dylan encouraged Zende to go to Logan. “This can’t be true!” Eric said. Electra insisted she didn’t mishear, said Dylan was trying to score points with Katie, and wanted Dylan fired that day. The men thanked her and said Zende isn’t going anywhere.

She has wanted Dylan out of Forrester since the summer, and Friday she said it to her face. She told Melissa “Miss” Dylan she overheard her with Zende and that Ridge and Eric know. “Are you scared for your job? Because you should be.” She accused Dylan of stealing Will and now trying to do the same with Zende.

Later, Dylan texted frantically while Electra gloated that her time was up, and didn’t believe a word of Dylan’s defense. Reading between the lines, Dylan’s job now rides on Zende, and Zende just said he is leaving.

Katie Waits on Zende at Logan

Over at Logan, Hope Logan Spencer wondered whether Zende could leave his family’s business to work for the enemy. Katie Logan Spencer said that if he comes, everyone will react strongly. Will Spencer pushed his mother to accept Dylan, and Katie ducked the answer again.

Later, Will got Dylan’s text and told Katie and Hope that things were escalating at Forrester. Katie wondered if Zende would stand up for himself and walk away. Across town, he did exactly that.

Forrester Lost Zende Over RJ’s Line

Forrester spent two days treating Dylan as the leak, while the real problem sat in Ridge’s office. Zende Forrester Dominguez didn’t leave because Dylan talked him into it. He left because he watched his own line get shut down and RJ get one, and Friday he finally said so.
