BROOK LYNN AND CHASE BATTLE IN THIS GENERAL HOSPITAL RECAP
TL;DR: This General Hospital Recap catches Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Chase facing off through their divorce lawyers while Ric Lansing and Monet Mitchell trade jabs across the table. Michael Corinthos stays beside Jordan Ashford in Germany, Molly Lansing-Davis confides her Chicago offer to Cody Bell, Trina Robinson stumbles onto a creepy fan site, Britt Westbourne gloats to Lucas Jones, and Joe Fitzpatrick grills Ava Jerome about Jack Brennan.

Brook Lynn and Chase Lawyer Up
Brook Lynn Quartermaine set out to end her marriage with grace, and the first thing she did was hire Ric Lansing, a man whose gentle setting is permanently stuck on “scorched earth.” As their coffee cooled at The Grill, he promised that her prenup would leave Chase without a dime, then winced at her notion of tossing it out of kindness. What she truly wanted was fair shares of Phoebe’s time for both parents, and what Ric truly wanted was a war. His brilliant logic: to get shared custody, demand full custody, open ferociously, and for heaven’s sake, keep her mouth shut. So much for doing this her way instead of Tracy Quartermaine’s, because that plan arrived in a nicer suit with an hourly rate.
Across town, Chase was getting the opposite sermon and about as little mileage from it. He told Monet Mitchell he and Brook Lynn wanted a friendly, low-pain finish, and Monet, who has never met a gentle plan she could not talk someone out of, asked to be cast as the villain. They had to plan for disaster, she said. Chase objected, and Monet steamrolled him into surrender in under a minute, which is roughly the speed she drives everything.
Then Ric and Brook Lynn swept in, and both lawyers forbade their clients from speaking to one another, a rule that turned two people who once shared a child and a home into strangers on opposite sides of Monet’s office, with all the dirt sitting between them. Chase hissed to Monet that Ric was a nightmare, and she cheerfully called that a great sign. The opening demands were outrageous, the attorneys dug up every ugly detail within reach, and the two exes simply stared at each other like they were watching a very expensive car crash in slow motion. Ric went at Chase with such relish that Brook Lynn finally ordered him to stop. It takes a special kind of client to hire a bulldog and then reach for the leash on day one.
Can Brook Lynn and Chase keep their divorce civil with Ric and Monet running the room, or is this a full-blown war from here on? Email your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com, because the juicier, the better.

Michael Stands by Jordan’s Side
Inside a German clinic, Jordan Ashford wore a path in the doctor’s carpet while Michael Corinthos coaxed her to breathe. They made small talk about spätzle, which tells you Michael has been giving the full tourist treatment, and she thanked him for every sightseeing stop. He admitted he had loved playing guide, then confessed he worried the treatment might disappoint her. Jordan assured him she was a grown woman who had prepared for anything.
When a nurse announced that Dr. Muller was ready, Jordan went in alone and returned glowing. She had been accepted into the program, her chances looked good despite having only one kidney, and she could hardly wait to begin. She hugged Michael, thanked him for everything, and he offered to stay through the first round. She had been quietly hoping he would.

Molly Weighs a Chicago Offer
Among the horses, Cody Bell sensed something was off with Molly Lansing-Davis before she opened her mouth. Out it spilled: a major firm in Chicago had come calling with a private office and a fatter paycheck. She never applied. They simply wanted her.
Cody went straight to the dream-job part, and Molly reminded him that her whole family lives here. He countered that her mother and father would both push her out the door. Then she asked what it meant for him, and Cody said he would follow her anywhere without a second thought. Considering he works for Tracy, leaving might count as a promotion. Molly refused to uproot him from his job and his family, but Cody waved that off, noting he had lived in plenty of places and could find work anywhere. The more devoted he sounded, the more Molly leaned toward staying put, which is the sort of romantic logic only a sweet couple could produce.
Trina Finds Her Biggest Fan
Trina Robinson burst into the gallery to tell Ava Jerome about the previous night’s overly complicated surprise from Kai Taylor, which she could finally laugh about. Ava pulled out the photography books Joel Sartore had sent over, they flipped through them for a while, and then Ava slipped away.
Left alone, Trina studied the photo she had snapped of the note on her last bouquet. Emma Scorpio-Drake walked in cracking a joke about shopping for paintings of dogs playing poker, so Trina handed her a Sartore book and the mood turned serious. Emma had checked, and both bouquets carried the name “Alan Smith.” Trina tried to shrug it off, since they were only flowers and nobody had threatened her. Then Emma showed her the pile of reviews and fan pages that already existed for her and Gio Palmieri.
One page was only about Trina. Its photos stretched back years, with everyone else carefully cropped out. Across the top sat a sign-off that made her stomach drop, because it matched the flowers word for word. Flowers are one thing. Years of trimmed photographs are quite another.

Britt Brags to Lucas
Over at the hospital, Britt Westbourne found Lucas Jones hooked to an IV for electrolytes after his headache from the party. She admitted she had been a “britch” the night before and delivered donuts as penance. Lucas figured she was stung by seeing Jason Morgan, but Britt informed him that bailing on her at the bar had been a favor.
It took Lucas about two guesses to figure out she had spent the night with someone, and Britt shrieked that there had been four rounds. Lucas wanted to know the stranger’s size and his bank balance, and learned only that the man was Australian and could afford a very nice suite. Lucas was thrilled that they never traded names, and Britt called the whole thing transformative. She wasn’t in love, she said, but the night had cured her of wasting time on fear. Her new mission was finding a bedroom guardian angel for Lucas, who looked slightly alarmed to be next on the list.
Ava Gets Cagey With Joe
Later in the restaurant, Joe Fitzpatrick sat with Ava, who kindly volunteered to listen while he griped about Lucas. Joe had a different agenda. He asked about the night Jack Brennan vanished and suggested her answers might help Nina Reeves. Ava claimed she and Jack had only chatted idly about Nina, then turned suddenly evasive, produced an excuse, and left. For a woman with nothing to hide, she exited at remarkable speed.

A young lawyer learned that love can make a dream job feel optional, a singer discovered her flowers came with a fan she never invited, and a doctor bragged about her night with a handsome stranger. Even a chat over drinks ended with a woman leaving early. That is how things go on General Hospital, where the lawyers get hired and the secrets stay on retainer.
