Beyond the Gates
Daytime Comings and Goings Week of October 19: Shocking Returns, Big-Name Arrivals, and Faces You Never Expected to See
Daytime’s revolving door keeps spinning with surprise arrivals, famous faces and familiar favorites stepping back into the spotlight.
THIS WEEK’S COMINGS AND GOINGS ARE SERVING UP SERIOUS SURPRISES
Surprise homecomings, big-name arrivals and a few faces nobody saw coming are packing this week’s Comings and Goings. Beyond the Gates rolls out the red carpet for Kandi Burruss and Tabitha Brown and welcomes Cady McClain back, Bold and the Beautiful brings Naomi Matsuda back as Li Finnegan, Days of Our Lives has Michael Rose stepping in as George O’Halloran along with Judi Evans and Shi Ne Nielson as Bonnie and Amy, General Hospital debuts Wil Traval as Jude, and Young and the Restless piles Katie, Johnny and Shirley Spectra into one very crowded wedding. Clear your calendar, because nobody is leaving early.

Beyond the Gates Comings & Goings
Fairmont Crest’s front gate has officially become a revolving door, and this week it’s spinning with famous faces. Kandi Burruss arrives as Kalista Kilroy, and Tabitha Brown debuts as Tia Allen on Thursday, October 22, the same day the family celebrates Dani Dupree’s life and career and a surprise guest stirs up old wounds. Nothing says relaxing family party like that.
Cady McClain is also back as Pamela Curtis after a long stretch away. In a gated community, that’s plenty of time for everyone to relax, which is always a mistake.

Bold and the Beautiful Comings & Goings
Back on screen last Thursday were Denise Richards as Shauna Fulton and Darin Brooks as Wyatt Spencer, joining Don Diamont as Bill Spencer in the Logan showroom. Bill showed up to brag about his wife’s latest coup and left losing sleep over her feud with her sister, which is peak Dollar Bill: he wins the deal and loses the peace.
We also finally got some face time with Tanner Novlan as Finn, first on a video call and then in person at the cliff house, where he wanted to talk nanorobots for roughly one full soap season while Steffy Forrester wrestled with a confession.
Next up, Naomi Matsuda is back as Li Finnegan from Wednesday through Friday, and considering what Finn has coming, she’ll want to unpack all her opinions. Jennifer Gareis also returns as Donna Logan this week, no day given, which feels fitting since Brooke Logan called Donna her only sister now earlier this month.

Days of Our Lives Comings & Goings
Salem’s most talked-about man still hasn’t been seen by anyone. Dominic Marino walked away from the Kiriakis mansion sale and has EJ DiMera doing math on whether he’s a half brother, and nobody has even been cast to play him yet. A man who has never appeared and has already ruined everyone’s week deserves some kind of award. On the phone was Jackée Harry as Paulina Price, who rang Lani Price with the pardon news.
George O’Halloran has been the name EJ keeps pointing at all month, so it’s a treat that Michael Rose finally steps on screen in the role on Monday, with news for EJ about Johnny DiMera.
Tuesday is stacked. Judi Evans returns as Bonnie Lockhart with advice for Joy Wesley, and Shi Ne Nielson is back as Amy Choi for a reunion with her daughter, Sophia Choi. Considering Sophia has been playing dead and waiting tables in Kentucky, that mother-daughter talk should be something.

General Hospital Comings & Goings
Back on screen at last week’s pier auction were Lydia Look as Selina Wu and Parry Shen as Brad Cooper, and Sonny Corinthos agreed with Selina that the fire at Charlie’s Pub is water under the bridge, which in Port Charles counts as a peace treaty.
Robert Gossett reappeared as Marshall Ashford on Wednesday, handling grandbaby duty like a pro, and John J. York was back as Mac Scorpio on Thursday, checking in on Chase at the gym. Then on Friday a stranger bought Britt Westbourne a drink, and that was Wil Traval making his debut as Jude. Britt had already been banned from her own rideshare, so she’s clearly having the week for a mysterious man.
Coming up, Wednesday brings Josh Kelly back as Cody Bell, catching up with Tracy Quartermaine.
Rumors of Spencer Cassadine’s return have started swirling too, with Trina Robinson’s stalker still lurking, though nothing is confirmed and Spencer has been gone since 2024.

Young and the Restless Comings & Goings
Genoa City threw a wedding and the guest list got out of hand. Back on screen were Lauralee Bell as Christine Blairand Michael Damian as Danny Romalotti, who got front-row seats to Phyllis Summers bragging about owning the club, and Christine admitted afterward that biting her tongue took real effort. Eileen Davidson was back as Ashley Abbott, who promised not to be the bad guy at the wedding while keeping a clear view of every red flag.
Then the wedding guests started showing up. Jai Rodriguez was back as Pietro, in pink, fretting that the groom wasn’t dressed yet. Sienna Mercuri returned as Katie Abbott after nearly a year away, and Paxton Mishkind came home as Johnny Abbott, so Billy Abbott got two of his kids at his own wedding. Patrika Darbo surprised everyone as Shirley Spectra, Sally Spectra’s Grams, walking Sally down the aisle and answering who gives this woman with “Depends on the price,” then adding that the groom is loaded. That was Michael Nanfria playing the minister who officiated Billy and Sally’s wedding.
On the phone was Snapper (previously played by David Hasselhoff), and Billy heard from him at the reception with news about Jill Abbott that nobody wanted. Jill sat the wedding out for medical tests, and her name has come up all month without her ever appearing.
Patty Williams remains the other mystery on everyone’s lips, since the whole town keeps asking where she went after the car crash.
