Soap opera fans just got through a second week of reruns on Beyond the Gates (BTG) since its inception on February 24th, 2025. Since that day, Daytime Soaps will never be the same. However, despite how fast & fresh this new soap opera is, another refresh has been put on & gone through BTG fans.
Now it’s clear… Kat & Tomas were doomed from the start. Why are they still together in real time when new episodes refresh next on CBS daytime? Let’s unpack…
Square Peg/Wrong Hole by Kat Richardson & Tomas Navarro
It took another week of Beyond the Gates replay to make soap opera fans realize that Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) & Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) were doomed romantically from the start. Seriously, in just the last week of BTG replays, it’s clear that this couple is not meant to be.
From the day that Kat learned that Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) is her half-sister, she declared that the only thing they will ever have in common is DNA. Well, spoiler alert, Kat Richardson, Eva has since kissed Tomas more than once and nearly had sex with him. Furthermore, Eva was the one to pull back on having sex, not Tomas. Then, within hours, Tomas had sex with Kat that same day.
For Tomas, it was great, but for Virgin Kit-Kat, it was not.
Too bad Tomas also would have enjoyed sex with Eva – and Eva would have with him. Tomas and Eva totally vibe, whether soap opera fans like it or not.
Tomas & Eva Hold Hands & It’s Just the Tip on BTG…
Not 10 minutes after Kat asked Tomas to not spend another minute with Eva, he just so happens to run into Eva at Uptown when he’s supposed to be meeting Kat for lunch. Kit-Kat had something come up and Eva had tears coming out. Tomas gave Eva some tough friendly love and then embraced her hands to comfort her… and then Kat walks in.
Since that interaction between Tomas and Eva, there have been several others. Tomas always ends up at the right place at the right time. In addition, he’s even invited himself into Eva’s hotel suite to be in the right place at the right time. That was the time he almost slept with Eva before she put the brakes on.
Tomas and Kat have done it again, and it didn’t go well again.
Can Kat already find out that her Uncle Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) has monetarily encouraged his associate Attorney Tomas Navarro to keep close to Kit-Kat to keep tabs on the Duprees?
