Beyond the Gates Spoilers October 15: Joey Armstrong Blindsides Vanessa McBride as Hayley Meets Her Match

JOEY ARMSTRONG’S ADMISSION, BILL’S PUSH FOR DANI AND HAYLEY’S MATCH SHAKE UP THURSDAY

TL;DR: Joey Armstrong makes an admission that shocks Vanessa McBride on Thursday, October 15, and no preview says what it is. Bill Hamilton wants more from Dani, Hayley Lawson meets her match, and Smitty’s new charge hangs over Naomi, Martin, Anita and Nicole.

Joey’s Admission Lands on a Woman Who Is Already Digging

The Beyond the Gates spoilers October 15 lineup opens with one line nobody can explain yet: Joey Armstrong‘s admission shocks Vanessa McBride. No preview says what he admits. The version making the rounds online calls it a carjacking confession. That is a guess, not a fact.

It is a smart guess. Vanessa has wanted a name since she was carjacked on September 29. She pressed Joey on September 30 and October 2, and both times he told her to let him handle it.

Viewers learned on October 2 that his younger sister, Heather Armstrong, was behind the attack. Joey has suspected her since September 30 but has no proof, and Heather denied it when he called her in London. Vanessa still has no idea.

Should Joey tell Vanessa everything about Heather, even if the truth puts her in danger? Write our editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and argue it out.

Bill Hamilton Wants More From Dani, and Ted Gets It

Bill Hamilton wants more from Dani Dupree on Thursday, then finds common ground with Dr. Ted Richardson. On October 8 Dani told her husband, Andre Richardson, “I’m happy and, for the record, Bill knows that.” On October 13 she went home to Andre for a romantic night.

Anita Dupree told Bill on September 29 to stay away and let Dani live a happy life. Fans have argued over a Bill and Dani reunion for weeks, and Bill now has a reason to push: Hayley Lawson signed his divorce papers on October 12.

Ted is an odd ally. He proposed to Shanice Johnson in New York on October 9 and made peace with his ex-wife, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, on October 13. The online version says the two men bonded over being burned by women. What aired on September 30 was gentler: they laughed about their taste in women. My gut says Thursday’s common ground runs through Hayley and the secret both men have been protecting.

What Does Joey Armstrong Admit to Vanessa on Beyond the Gates?

No preview names it yet. What we do know is that Vanessa is not waiting on Joey Armstrong to hand her the answer. On October 2 she tied her carjacking to the sale of Uptown and started researching the buyer, Lachlaw Holdings. Uptown is the nightspot Heather owns, the same club Joey had planned to buy Vanessa as a surprise.

Whatever Joey confesses, he is racing his girlfriend’s homework. Heather came home on October 9, heard Vanessa tell the carjacking story, got invited to stay longer and answered Joey’s warning text with a kiss selfie. On Friday, Heather moves in on Joey.

My ranking of what he admits: first, that Heather was behind the carjacking. Second, that his sister is The Impaler, a secret Joey Armstrong has carried since June. Third, that he wanted Uptown for her. Any of the three blows her world open.

Hayley Lawson Meets Her Match After a Month of Losing Rounds

The online version calls this new territory for Hayley. It is not. Dani exposed her poisoning plot in September, a hacksaw scare on October 7 ended with her cutting a deal, and Bill made her sign those divorce papers while demanding her tapes. Vernon Dupree then told the family she had been neutralized.

Nobody has been named as the match. The week’s promo has Heather asking a bartender for a fresh drink for “my new friend, Hayley,” and Hayley asking how she knows her name. No preview puts that scene on Thursday, but if I know these writers, The Impaler is the one woman Hayley cannot charm.

Dark horses: Bill’s assistant, Caroline Lee, who rejected Hayley’s friendship with an insult on October 1, and Bill’s daughter Chelsea Hamilton, who by Wednesday knows Hayley had something on her father.

Smitty’s Charge Hangs Over Naomi, Martin, Anita and Nicole

The rest of Thursday runs through one case. On October 13 Smitty Smith was charged with drug-induced homicide and released on bail, a day after Jacob Hawthorne found hidden pills and arrested him. Smitty swears the footage against him was doctored.

Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne, Smitty’s lawyer and Jacob’s wife, has a plan for proof on Thursday. Martin Richardson, who took his husband home to tell their kids, sees his declaration derailed. Anita and Nicole fight to stay optimistic.

Reading between the lines, Naomi wants proof Smitty was set up. Here is the link nobody is making: on Tuesday someone inside the police station sent Heather video of Smitty’s arrest, right before she cut Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald‘s shirt buttons off with a knife. The sister Joey Armstrong cannot control now has a source in the building.

Who is Hayley’s match: Heather, Caroline or Chelsea? Make your pick in the comments.

Vanessa Is One Search Away From Beating Joey to the Truth

Joey has had two weeks to tell Vanessa who hurt her, and he spent them telling her to let him handle it. Now she is reading company records while Heather keeps turning up at her side. If she finds the answer first, she never trusts him again.

We say the admission is about Heather, and it costs Joey more than it saves. Team Joey says he kept quiet to keep her alive. Team Vanessa says she earned the truth on September 30. Pick your side on our Facebook page.
