These two have been playing the complicated sister dynamic beautifully, and adding this emotional weight is going to showcase their talents. Whether the results are positive or negative, this moment is going to change everything for both of them.
The cruel irony is that Dani Dupree and Nicole have been so consumed with their messy love lives that cancer probably wasn’t even on their radar until Anita’s diagnosis. Now they’re facing the possibility that their own health is at risk, and suddenly the drama with Bill and Carlton and Ted and Andre seems a lot less important. Nothing puts things in perspective like a potential cancer diagnosis.

And because Friday wasn’t emotional ENOUGH, Martin Richardson delivers bad news to Vernon Dupree. What NOW?! Vernon is already watching his wife battle cancer and his daughters go through genetic testing. What bad news could Martin possibly have that would make this week worse?
Whatever it is, Vernon doesn’t deserve it. Clifton Davis has been the steady patriarch holding this family together, and piling more bad news on him feels cruel. But that’s soap operas for you!
