Also, what about Ashley & Derek moving in together? Has Ashley seriously never been over to Derek’s before he started moving his favorite chair & a piece of taxidermy in? Is this new soap opera competing to be as boring as Young & the Restless? Please help us, CBS. It’s about time for Hayley & Derek to compare notes & more on Beyond the Gates..
Human Babies & Moose Heads, What Spouses Didn’t See Coming
Did Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durret) seriously not check in with his now new wife, Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings), about whether having children was in her future? If not, why not at least a little chat about birth control? Perhaps if they are using birth control, what type, who’s doing what, & what would happen if Hayley ended up freaking pregnant… but no.
Despite Hayley taking the birth control on an as-needed basis when she thinks she needs it, she’s not pregnant with a human baby for now. Praise whoever they pray to in Fairmont Crest because between Hayley’s “human baby” & B29 verbiage, she & Bill do not need any of that.
Now, what about Firefighter Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) on the other side of town? After a girly-magazine-quiz gone pretty bad, he asked his Nurse-Perfect girlfriend, Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), to live with him in her tiny apartment. Ashley said yes to Derek, but she’s saying no to almost all of his stuff.
Has Ashley seriously never had a sleepover or 100 over at Derek’s? She’s seriously never heard of or sat on his favorite chair named Herbert? Ashley never heard about or saw Derek’s moose head? What is freaking going on with this couple on Beyond the Gates?
BTG Moves Fast, To Divide & Conquer is the Only Option
Before Beyond the Gates gives its fans who also watch Young & the Restless the idea that this thing could slow down, they need to get these couples to divide & conquer. Ashley & Derek are boring & now that they are moving in together with a named chair & a moose head that Ashley isn’t excited about. Their relationship for soap opera fans has gone from boring to boring & awkward.
BTG fans need another dose of Hayley & Derek conversing ASAP, & then they will need more. While Bill & Hayley are just borderline boring, Ashley & Derek are off-the-charts boring.
Bill will cheat on Hayley anyway. Can’t Hayley get a head start on messing with her marriage by spicing up Firefighter Derek for soap opera fans?
