Dr. Doug McBride recently died after a car accident, which Beyond the Gates fans know was the work of Joey Armstrong. Even though BTG fans did not have a lot of time with Doug, they heard of him and Vanessa McBride’s twins, Donnell and Deanna McBride, who both go to school at Banneker.
So, Donnell McBride made it to Doug’s funeral, but not his twin sister, Deanna. How? Why? Something does NOT add up, and it seems like it’s Vanessa’s commitment to her and Doug’s children versus her commitment to the man she was spending intimate time with when Doug died, Joey Armstrong.

Really…. Dr. Nicole now Dupree flat-out called out her BFF Vanessa on her dealings with Joey and, ergo, her motivation to send Donnell back to Banneker… Well, yes, she did.
When was the last time that Dr. Nicole took a look at her pretty self in the mirror? She has some parenting clean-up she should prioritize. Does she even understand her daughter, Kat Richardson, at all?
Yes, Nicole’s now ex, Ted Richardson, did what he did. He had an affair and produced another human being. The thing is, that human being was not on their daughter Kat’s Bingo card. Kat thought she was set with her brother, Martin Richardson, with whom she grew up with.
Why isn’t it that Dr. Nicole Dupree, an award-winning and highly respected psychologist, does not understand what her daughter, Kat, is going through after awkwardly being bonused a half-sister who took it upon herself to sleep with Kat’s boyfriend, Tomas Navarro?
