WINTERFEST ON BEYOND THE GATES WAS ALL BUILD-UP AND ZERO PAYOFF
TL;DR: WinterFest on Beyond the Gates has come and gone, and after all that planning and talking, NOTHING happened. Vanessa McBride drunk-sticking her tongue out was the highlight, and honestly? Fans deserve a refund.
Anita Dupree’s Dream Team Worked SO Hard For What?
SO much planning and next to nothing during WinterFest. By far, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) and her daughter, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), were the best dressed. Both women were absolutely stunning and radiant. On the flip flop, what was that white dress with cutouts that Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) was wearing? It wasn’t right, but it was acquired by her mother, Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), so it makes sense.
Anyway, Anita and her dream team planning committee for WinterFest worked SO hard, and for what? Mona Wilson (Karan Kendrick) and Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) worked above and beyond, yet Beyond the Gates fans got next to nothing as a result of their efforts. Dani Dupree wasn’t seen running the silent auction. Her ex-husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), wasn’t seen emceeing the event, and Mister Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) didn’t do whatever he was going to do with Sharon (Bonita Brisker) that wasn’t cheating on Anita. BTG fans were only left with drunk Miss V. sticking her hot little tongue out on screen at the Fairmont Crest Country Club.

BTG’s Vanessa Sticks Her Tongue Out and Wants Her Money Back
Per soap opera fans on social media, the best part of WinterFest on Beyond the Gates was Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), white girl drunk, sticking her tongue out at Leslie Thomas. No judging on the white girl drunk part—there was alcohol, and it was a holiday charity event. Also, it was BORING, and Miss V. got stood up by her not-so-new boyfriend, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom).
Things did get a little more spicy when Vanessa’s BFF’s ex-husband, Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), volunteered himself to help her out of the Fairmont Crest Country Club. To top things off, Vanessa McBride sent Joey a photo to document her latest escort. That was almost as much fun as Vanessa sticking her tongue out at Leslie, but certainly not planned out by Mona and Laura. So, if Vanessa, after being white girl drunk, remembers this, she may want her money back.
Nicole Dupree’s Big Speech? Yeah, We Missed That Too
Speaking of Vanessa McBride… What about her BFF Nicole Dupree’s (Daphnée Duplaix) speech that she was SO nervous about? Beyond the Gates fans and Vanessa missed that too! For a show that spent weeks building up WinterFest, we got absolutely zilch. Even Leslie Thomas was on her best behavior. Zzzzzz.
Please, Anita Dupree… We all need more for WinterFest 2026. NOTHING happened. Maybe next year the planning committee can actually deliver something worth watching instead of leaving fans feeling like they attended a party where the DJ never showed up.
