ANNALYNNE MCCORD IS ENGAGED AND THE RING IS 15 CARATS

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives star AnnaLynne McCord is engaged to former rugby player Danny Cipriani after a Christmas Day proposal at her Los Angeles home. The couple first met ten years ago, and the 15 carat diamond ring is as stunning as the love story behind it.

A Christmas Day Proposal Ten Years in the Making

AnnaLynne McCord is officially off the market. The Days of Our Lives star, who plays Cat Greene, revealed exclusively to People that her partner Danny Cipriani proposed on Christmas Day at her Los Angeles home, surrounded by loved ones.

AnnaLynne McCord and Cipriani first connected on the dating app Raya about a decade ago and dated on and off for several years before splitting in 2020. They found their way back to each other in February 2024, and what was supposed to be a friendship lasted about 48 hours before they realized they were far more than friends.

The proposal itself was a family affair. AnnaLynne McCord’s sisters Rachel and Angel were in on the surprise. Cipriani and Rachel had been whispering about plans, and when they insisted AnnaLynne put on makeup for what was supposedly a movie outing with her nephew, she had no idea what was waiting downstairs. She came down to find rose petals everywhere, a rose petal heart on the floor, and Cipriani down on one knee with a 15 carat emerald cut diamond ring.

“I cried for 10 minutes straight,” AnnaLynne told People. She eventually realized she had to actually answer, and when she said yes, Cipriani told her it was a good sign she was quiet for once.

Soulmates From the Start

What makes this love story even sweeter is that AnnaLynne McCord knew from the very beginning. She told People she called it ten years ago, she knew they were soulmates, she knew they were meant to be together, and she was not wrong. Cipriani, for his part, lovingly calls her his crazy girl.

The couple celebrated their engagement in Cambodia and India, two of their favorite places in the world. AnnaLynne also visited centers for survivors of human trafficking during the trip as part of her work with The Love Storm, a global initiative she is deeply passionate about.

AnnaLynne McCord has been a standout on Days of Our Lives as Cat Greene, bringing intensity and edge to every scene she is in. Off screen, she is clearly living a love story worthy of daytime television, and we could not be happier for her.

Congratulations to AnnaLynne and Danny. We cannot wait to see what comes next.
