Chad DiMera Gets Dumped In The Crypt And The Timing Could NOT Be Worse
Poor Chad DiMera got kidnapped and thrown into the DiMera family crypt on Thanksgiving! While his daughter Charlotte was wondering why daddy didn’t show up at the Horton family dinner, Chad was getting tossed into an underground stone tomb like yesterday’s leftovers!
And the WORST part? Jennifer Horton is using his Thanksgiving absence as ammunition in her custody battle! Jennifer thinks Chad deliberately skipped the holiday to avoid his kids during their court drama. Meanwhile, the man is literally locked in a crypt fighting for his survival alongside Kristen and Tony DiMera!
The dramatic irony is CRUSHING. Jennifer’s building her entire custody case around Chad being an unfit father who can’t even show up for Thanksgiving. Girl, he’s KIDNAPPED! He didn’t ghost his kids—he got grabbed and stashed underground by someone with seriously questionable family reunion planning skills!

Let’s talk about the elephant—or should we say PHOENIX—in the room! Tony and Kristen have been trapped in this crypt eating Thanksgiving dinner out of tin cans, and they’ve noticed something VERY suspicious: whoever locked them down there provided enough food to last for YEARS!
Tony literally said they have provisions for years, which made them wonder how long they’ll be kept there. But more importantly, Tony suggested all that food might mean MORE COMPANY IS COMING. Well, congratulations Tony, you were RIGHT because Chad just got thrown in there like a sack of potatoes!
But here’s where things get REALLY interesting. Why would anyone stock a crypt with years’ worth of provisions unless they were planning something LONG-TERM? This isn’t just about keeping a few DiMeras locked up temporarily. This is about keeping them there while something ELSE is happening!
The winter preview shows them discovering BONES in the crypt. Human bones. And fans are speculating like crazy about what Dr. Rolf is cooking up in his secret laboratory!
Is Dr. Rolf Building A NEW Stefano Down There?
The million-dollar question: Is Dr. Rolf using that crypt to BUILD a new Stefano DiMera? Because everything about this situation screams “mad scientist resurrection project”!
We know Dr. Rolf has a secret laboratory. We know there’s a mysterious cryogenic chamber. We know Rafe identifies bones and reports back to EJ with “pertinent information.” And we KNOW Dr. Rolf has successfully brought people back from the dead before—including implanting Stefano’s “essence” into Steve Johnson’s body!
So let’s connect the dots. Tony, Kristen, and Chad are all blood relatives of Stefano DiMera. They’re being kept in the family crypt where Stefano is buried. There are BONES being discovered. Dr. Rolf is working on something in his lab. And the winter preview literally shows someone putting on Stefano’s signature onyx ring while EJ declares “the house of DiMera will not fall!”
Is Rolf going to harvest DNA from the trapped DiMeras? Is he somehow already doing it? Is he building a new Stefano out of genetic material from his children? Is THAT why they need to be kept alive and healthy with years’ worth of provisions? Because Days of Our Lives has done CRAZIER things than cloning the Phoenix!
The DiMeras Are About To Find Out Who Locked Them Up
Kristen and Tony have been speculating about who their captor is for WEEKS. They ruled out Vivian Alamain because she prefers burying people alive without food and water. But whoever locked these folks up wants them alive and relatively comfortable! Although Kristen WAS dreaming of jail food the other day, but we digress.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest EJ DiMera might be behind this whole scheme. EJ’s been acting shady, working with Dr. Rolf, and making mysterious moves. Plus, he’s the one who benefits most from having his siblings out of the way while he consolidates power!
But what if EJ isn’t the mastermind? What if he’s working FOR someone—or something—else? What if this whole crypt situation is part of a larger plan to resurrect Stefano DiMera, and EJ is just a pawn in the Phoenix’s grand return?
The fact that the show is celebrating its 60th anniversary makes this timing PERFECT for bringing back their greatest villain in some form!
