DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: CHAD DIMERA HEADED FOR A DEADLY SKYDIVING ACCIDENT? THE FINAL PLUNGE THAT WILL DEVASTATE SALEM!

Is Chad DiMera’s time in Salem coming to a horrifying end? Tuesday’s episode just dropped a bombshell hint that has me absolutely REELING! With Billy Flynn officially headed to Genoa City for “The Young and the Restless,” DAYS writers appear to be setting up what might be the most shocking DiMera death we’ve seen in years—and that’s saying something in a family where dying is practically a rite of passage!

THE SKYDIVING SETUP THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Did you catch the exchange between Chad and Catherine Greene in Tuesday’s episode? My heart practically stopped when Chad joked about his fear of heights, only to have Cat suggest they go skydiving for their date. Talk about foreshadowing with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer!

But the real clincher? When JJ Deveraux told Julie Williams that he hopes Cat’s parachute doesn’t open. I mean…WHOA. If that’s not soap writers telegraphing their plans, I don’t know what is!

Let’s be honest—this wouldn’t be the first time a character was written off through a dramatic death. But a skydiving accident? That’s a new one even for Salem, where people have survived everything from being buried alive to island explosions.

THE PERFECT TRAGIC EXIT

In typical DOOL fashion, killing Chad off would give us that gut-wrenching drama we secretly crave while leaving the door cracked open for a future return. Because let’s face it—nobody stays dead in Salem forever! Remember when we thought EJ DiMera was toast? Or when Jack Deveraux fell down an elevator shaft? Please.

The setup is actually pretty brilliant when you think about it. Chad’s fear of heights. Cat pushing him to face that fear. A date that literally sends him plummeting to earth. It’s pure soap opera gold.

And can we talk about how this would be the PERFECT catalyst for some major character development across the board?

JULIE’S REVENGE AND JJ’S GUILT

Julie Williams already has it out for Cat—this would send her into full-on vengeance mode! Can’t you just see Susan Seaforth Hayes delivering those scorching scenes where she blames Cat for Chad’s death? I get chills just imagining it!

This could easily match her hatred for Gabi Hernandez—and we all remember how THAT feud escalated!

As for JJ Deveraux? The poor guy might actually be partially responsible with his comment about parachutes not opening. That’s the kind of guilt that could send him spiraling back into his darker tendencies—and honestly, Casey Moss absolutely shines when JJ gets to explore those shadows.

THE DEVASTATING DOMINO EFFECT

But nobody—and I mean NOBODY—would be hit harder than Cat and EJ DiMera.

Cat has been carrying a torch for Chad since she first arrived in Salem. If her skydiving suggestion leads directly to his death? That’s the kind of soul-crushing guilt that could send her packing (especially if AnnaLynne McCord’s contract isn’t being renewed).

And then there’s EJ. Oh boy. The relationship between these brothers has been one of the most genuine things in Salem lately. EJ actually arranged this date with Cat as a gift to Chad—can you IMAGINE the weight of that guilt?

EJ and Chad evolved into what DiMera brothers rarely become—actual family who don’t constantly plot against each other. They’ve had each other’s backs, shown genuine affection, and created some of the most touching scenes between DiMera men we’ve ever seen.

Losing Chad could be exactly what pushes EJ back to the dark side. He’s been walking that fine line between redemption and his old villainous ways. This might just convince him that being “good” isn’t worth the heartbreak.

THE ULTIMATE QUESTION

Could the writers REALLY go there? Would they actually kill off a character as beloved as Chad DiMera in such a dramatic fashion?

This is Salem we’re talking about—a town where people have returned from literal decapitations! So even if they do send Chad plummeting to earth without a working parachute, we can hold onto hope that someday, somehow, he might mysteriously return.

After all, the only thing more dramatic than killing off a major character is bringing them back from the dead five years later with amnesia and a mysterious past!

What do YOU think? Is Chad’s skydiving accident imminent, or is this all a massive misdirect? Would you rather see Chad leave town for a job opportunity that could bring him back someday? Or does Salem need another earth-shattering tragedy to shake things up?

One thing’s for sure—I’ll be glued to my screen to see how Billy Flynn’s exit plays out. After all his years in Salem, Chad DiMera deserves a send-off people will be talking about for years!
