Days of Our Lives Recap: EJ DiMera Tells Chad About Dominic

The Days of Our Lives recap October 13, 2026 belongs to EJ DiMera, who finally said it out loud. At the DiMera mansion he told Chad DiMera that Dominic Marino may be their brother. Across town, the Kiriakis family got the text it had rigged a whole house for: Dominic wants out of the mansion contract.

Chad had come over to yell about Johnny DiMera going to the police. EJ claimed George acted on his own with the tainted pills and said his son betrayed him by going to the cops without talking to him first. Chad told him to make amends with Johnny instead.

Then Chad brought up Stefano, and EJ turned dark. None of Stefano’s children ever really knew their father, he said, and they may have another brother. He told a stunned Chad about the birth certificate. Chad could not believe it.

EJ said Rita told him nothing, lost his trust and vanished. If Dominic really is Stefano’s son, he asked, where does that leave the rest of them? His bitter answer: no longer the favorites. Stefano’s obsession was always Marlena, and the women who gave him EJ and Chad meant little to him.

When Chad asked where Stefano’s ring was, EJ put it together. He decided Rita must have taken it to hand to Dominic. Whenever Dominic shows up, EJ said, they need to be ready, which means learning everything they can about him. With Rita gone, Chad floated Cat for the research, and EJ said she had quit.

Is Dominic Marino Really EJ and Chad’s Brother?

Nobody on screen has proven it. EJ is going on the birth certificate and the missing ring, and if he is right, Dominic would be a half brother to both men. Chad looked more shaken than EJ did. Days of Our Lives Recap: The Kiriakis Mansion Fails on Purpose

Hank, the home inspector, arrived at the Kiriakis mansion a little surprised it was still standing. Xander Kiriakis and Philip Kiriakis hovered while he checked the chimney, the wine cellar, the laundry room and the attic. The rats had vanished, and the burst pipe was still burst.

Hank was not fooled. He told the brothers it all looked suspicious, the rat looked like a pet and the pipe looked broken on purpose, and he asked if they were trying to sabotage the inspection. They tried to bribe him. He refused to lie, but after they explained what the house means to them and how they lost it, he agreed to report what he had technically seen.

At the Pub, Maggie Kiriakis asked Sarah Horton if she would move back into the mansion once they get it back. Sarah has not raised it with Brady, not while Rachel is still recovering. Johnny’s statement and the clue he left on her desk have helped clear her name, but the lawsuit has hurt her with patients.

Outside, Roman Brady brought Kate Roberts a rose for their anniversary. Kate had tickets for him, and Roman hung a “Room for Rent” sign and asked her to move back in. She said yes.

Then Xander and Philip walked in with the news that the house had flunked. Maggie left everyone hanging for a beat before reading the text from Dominic’s broker: Dominic wants out of the contract. Xander spun Sarah around the room.

Cat Greene Says No a Little Too Fast

In her follow-up session with Marlena Evans, Cat Greene admitted EJ has not come after her since she quit. Marlena pointed out that nobody has ever held EJ accountable. When Marlena asked if she has feelings for him, Cat said no. We are not buying it.

Cat was more upset that Chad is angry about her ISA past, and she admitted he may have had a point about how she handled Clyde. Marlena reminded her she acted out of fear. Cat later showed up at the DiMera mansion just as Chad was talking about how little she can be trusted, so he left. She dropped off her laptop and keys without asking for her job back. As she turned to go, EJ told her he did not want her to leave.
