The Days of Our Lives recap October 14, 2026 ends with a kiss nobody at the DiMera mansion saw coming, least of all Cat. EJ DiMera stopped Cat Greene at the door, pulled her into the Dominic hunt and kissed her. Across town, Lani Price found out the pardon she had given up on is coming after all.

Picking up right where Tuesday left off, EJ practically mumbled it: he did not want her to go. Her quitting had blindsided him, and after some thinking he decided she may be the only person in his life who has never violated his trust. Then he unloaded. Johnny went to the police. Rita turned out to be playing her own game, which surprised even Cat.

EJ said he was lost and needed her back. He wants to know if Dominic Marino is his half brother, and he knows about her ISA past, so he laid out everything he has.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Cat Greene Says Yes to the Hunt

Cat asked if he needed her only as an assistant. She told him she no longer has any ISA access, and EJ answered that she still has her research skills. She agreed to help, though she warned it might be hard.

Then she got honest: what they had was more than boss and employee, and he hurt her. EJ promised it would never happen again. Cat whispered that she missed him too, and they kissed, a lot. Whether she is back on his payroll never came up, which tells you where both their heads were.

At the Horton house, Lani was picking up toys when Eli Grant came home from wrapping a case. She filled him in on the baby shower, then told him the governor had rejected her pardon. Eli was furious and blamed himself for getting her hopes up.

Lani mostly worried about how to tell the kids about her past. Eli promised to be right there with her, and he said he was proud of her no matter what. They kissed, and the phone rang. It was Paulina: the governor changed his mind after the support Lani got on Leo’s podcast, and Lani is getting her pardon after all.

Gwen Rizczech Deals Philip Kiriakis a Bad Hand

Philip Kiriakis was packing up at the Salem Inn to move back into the Kiriakis mansion when Gwen Rizczech knocked with one of his bags, delivered to her room by mistake. She was shocked the family has the house and Titan again, and thrilled they stuck it to EJ.

Over drinks in the square they ran into Chad DiMera and Belle Black, who were stunned to hear Dominic had pulled out of the sale. Chad had already told Belle what EJ heard about Dominic, and he admitted he does not think his possible brother will stay hidden long. Belle wondered why a billionaire would walk away over a few problems and hoped it was all a setup. Chad felt guilty about the damage his father still does from the grave.

Back at the inn, Gwen asked Philip for poker tips, which made him squirm, then suggested strip poker to make it interesting. He turned her down, and she backed off fast when she learned he and Gabi Hernandez are back together.

Gabi Hernandez Draws a Line for Philip

Gabi came home to find Leo’s boxes of fake bags stacked in her kitchen. He had let himself in with his old key. She told him to burn the fakes and get back to taking EJ down, but Leo admitted he hit a dead end and recruited Philip to follow the money. Gabi shut that down. She would rather let the counterfeiters get away than risk Philip relapsing into gambling.

Javi Hernandez walked in annoyed that Leo missed their date because he was arrested, and Gabi stood up for Leo and said he was only helping her. Leo asked for a second chance, Gabi pushed her brother, and Javi agreed to reschedule.
