Days of Our Lives Recap: Theo Carver Typed His Resignation Alone

The second the room emptied, Theo sat down and started typing a resignation letter. No speech, no threat, no call to anybody. Hours later he turned up at the Small Bar, ran into Stephanie Johnson, and told her he had quit that day.

That is a man stepping off a company before a federal complaint catches up with it, and the one executive who knows what the accusation says now has nobody left to protect. He warned people on September 7 that if Johnny was concealing something he would be finished working there. Nobody took him literally.

She did, and she said goodbye on the way out. He and Sarah Horton spent the rest of the hour back over their own history, and Xander said the one thing he has never regretted is loving her.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Chanel DiMera Sang Through the Worst Day

Chanel DiMera woke up surprised that Johnny had called Lani Price over rather than waking her, then took a walk while Lani covered the babysitting and ran into Alex in the square, who told her about Joy. She said she was sorry even though Joy is nowhere near her favourite person, then sang him Itsy Bitsy Spider, high on her own pot brownies, and lost the words halfway through. Alex laughed anyway, the only laugh all day.

The scene that matters came after. Johnny got home before Chanel did, and Lani read him on sight, clocking that he did not want her knowing he had been out. Chanel came back too loopy to ask anything. Lani spent one afternoon there and saw straight through him.
